Unusually green, overgrown with plants building of the University of Warsaw Library / Niezwykle zielony, porośnięty roślinami gmach Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego
The library building does not have to be boring, the one belonging to the University of Warsaw looks like a plant jungle that grows over concrete. When I looked at the side entrance door to the library, it looked a bit like the entrance door to the secret garden from Agnieszka Holland's film. Only here a profuse ivy vine grew beside the door and over the door, and did not overgrow it.
The University of Warsaw Library is located near the Vistula River, in Powiśle in Warsaw, at ul. Dobra 56/66. On its roof, there is one of the largest and most beautiful roof gardens in Europe.
I wonder what the pruning of these vines looks like;) But they have grown profusely!
Ciekawe jak wygląda przycinanie tych pnączy ;) Ale bujnie urosły!
Below you can see one of the entrances to the library. It is solidly overgrown on the sides and from above, and from what I can see on the right, there may be even more plants in the future.
Poniżej można zobaczyć jedno z wejść do biblioteki.
There is also a series of inscriptions on the library building. Written in several languages, as well as a math equation and sheet music for a classic song. You can see that it is an intellectually stimulating place.

The tables symbolizing the pages of the books present fragments of the following texts: the Old Polish Lecture on Virtue by Jan Kochanowski, the Old Russian Novel of Bygone Years from the beginning of the 12th century, the Greek Phaedrosa by Plato, the Arabic Book of Al-Jahiza, the Hebrew Book of Ezekiel, the Sanskrit Rigveda and two notations: mathematical and physical music (from Karol Szymanowski's Etude in B flat minor). Everything is made of patinated copper.

Imagine how much hotter this building would be during summer without the cover of all this nice vegetation...
