Last Leg of our Jorney in Vietnam the city of Hanoi.

avatar

Our last leg of touring Vietnam was to be visiting the city of Hanoi last as we would be departing from Hanoi airport back home to Australia we made this our last stop. After spending four days in the beautiful town of Hoi An we made our journey to Hanoi city. It took longer to get from Hoi An to Dang Na airport then it did flying from Dang Na airport to Hanoi airport the flight was just over an hour once we landed we were picked up from the airport from drivers of the O'Gallery Majectic Hotel where we had booked to stay our last 2 nights in beautiful Vietnam.

We were not intending to do or see much in Hanoi city as we were only staying a couple nights we had already achieved seeing a lot of Vietnam country side our intention and agenda was to try some more street vendor foods and just cruise around checking out the daily lives of the Vietnamese people.

After arriving to our hotel that evening we settled in and and were all looking forward to a quite night of dining in the hotel a couple of drinks then bed to be ready the next morning nice and fresh to check out some sites in Hanoi city. The seafood and sushi dishes looked appetizing on the menu so we got a assorted range of these dishes and enjoyed them immensely.

The evening was very relaxing talking about all we had seen and done so far in Vietnam and it hadn't ended yet so next morning we were on the streets of Hanoi city which is a very busy city with thousands of motorbikes zooming around like a busy bee hive you really had to pay attention to every step you took but it was all fun seeing a the city people at there best. Hanoi been the capital of Vietnam is known for it's centuries old architecture and a rich culture and has a population of just over 8 million people with so much to see , i would have liked to spend more time here but it will have to be another time.

The street vendors as in any other Asia countries are always a delight to see , me loving my fresh fruits daily can never resist buying fruits of these street vendors always love to help them out first as they are kind , generous and hard working people with fair prices and in my books deserve to be considered first.

Anything is possible to be deliver on a motorbike with these people where there is a will there will be a way 😂

I think Sylvester Stallone ( Rocky ) had been in town to long egg coffee...lol 😂

We saw there were many underground bunkers built in the 1960 's to protect the people of Vietnam from the air strikes during the long lasting war between American and Vietnam you could take guided tours , it was said that in the way these underground bunkers were built with low ceilings with electricity for some lighting and air ventilation shafts the people could stay in these bunkers for up to about 30 minutes while waiting out the raids of bombings.

After seeing a few sights in Hanoi city we decided our last night was going to be spend indulging ourselves inside the hotel as we had a early flight out the next morning the buffet was looking good and it was all included in the pricing of our rooms so it was only fair that we took advantage of all there delicious looking desserts so to the buffet we took.

I've not been to vietnam but I was expecting traffic around the circle to be more chaotic.
