Nusa Lembongan Island in Indonesia.

Towards the end of last year in October we decided to give ourselves a early Christmas present by visiting Nusa Lembongan Island in Indonesia you may wonder why October for three reasons to avoid all the Christmas-New Year crowds , cheaper flights and there were going to be some art classes taking place on this island which suited my wife as she loves nature painting and she wanted to join this class with some other friends that were coming over to meet up with us on this island for the same reason so it was going to be a friends reunion art class and holiday at the same time just prefect for all of us.

The island of Nusa Lembongan is located southeast of Bali, Indonesia , once arriving in Bali we took the fast speed boat from Serangan Harbor which is a 30 minute boat ride over to the island of Nusa Lembongan from Serangan Harbor there are several trips a day made from this harbor by a few tour companies we used Blue Water Express they were very safe and helpful polite people even carried our luggage to the front door of the resort was very nice of them.

Waiting for our speedboat.

The resort was absolutely stunning a great view over the ocean with beautiful Bali style gardens surrounding the resort the prefect place for art classes to be taking place , i am sure there was going to be some interesting nature painting coming from these ladies.

By the end of the week classes i was very surprised in how much these ladies had learnt just in that week most of these ladies were already in art classes back home in Australia they all just wanted to be here together to paint nature painting and also enjoy there holiday in Bali on a famous popular island with so much beautiful nature around to fulfill there dreams by taking a nice painting home to hang in there sun-rooms , lounge rooms or somewhere in there house 🌞

And these are the painting these lovely ladies turned out by the end of classes that week.

After a successful week of art classes we still had a couple of days on the island before heading to Seminyak where we were going to stay a couple nights before flying back to Australia we decided to walk around the island to enjoy some views and sunsets Nusa Lembongan is a small island approx 4 km from end to end and has many coastal paths you can walk along with many little resorts you could stop in for a snack or a beer and enjoy the views.

Our last nights dinner in Seminyak Bali before retuning to Australia the next day , it had certainly been one amazing holiday and it was our last holiday since the global pandemic broke out , so happy we took that holiday because i do think it's going to be awhile before we can enjoy another holiday like that.

Awesome little Island. I´ve been there about 5 years ago. Next time, after that Covid comes to an end, you should try Nusa Penida that es even more beautiful.

Looks like you had an awesome time, and not even all to far from Malaysia, too! I've yet to go to Bali, but I've only heard amazing stuff about the beaches, nightlife, and scenery there. A part of me is amazed to see people making towel animals, just like those swans. I've read a while ago of someone walking into their hotel room, and shocked to see a monkey swinging off the wardrobe 😂

Surprisingly i found Bali really nice i didn't expect it to be so nice and the beaches were super and everything else and sorry for the late reply been a busy week 👍

Lol, no worries about that. I've basically shut down from Hive for a week now. It's been a long, busy, and tiring week. Plus, Covid-19 cases here have skyrocketed to new highs, way higher than we've ever gone before. It's scary times, but then I popped open this post, and seeing the towel monkeys made me laugh 😂

Damn that is not good news it seems most countries are getting that second wave and worst then the first wave hopefully they bring it under control before it gets any worst stay safe my friend and stay positive 😊

Cheers, mate. You stay safe, too! The second wave is certainly hitting hard. The highest before was right when the first wave hit, at 200 or so daily cases. For weeks and weeks after that, we've gotten used to just a single, or a couple of dozen cases per day.

Suddenly, the second wave hit, and now we're getting 600+ cases, and 563 just today. Partial lockdown is being reimposed in some places, including mine, and it'll take quite a lot for this to die down. The graphs are getting frightening to look at, but I'm hopefully that we'll get through this :-)

Not good buddy got to laugh at this gif really is funny unfortunately it's getting like that with humans really sad to see the future like this people avoiding each each something positive needs to happen real soon this is just ridiculous the way it's going 😒
