Danville was founded in 1858 it's a beautiful colorful friendly town that lies in the heart of the San Ramon Valley within Contra Costa County about 50 kilometers east of San Francisco and you would not really believe it's such a peaceful town been only 50 kilometers from a big city like San Francisco.

I visited my cousin and his wife in Danville where they are living last year in summer and i really found it hard to leave this amazing small community town with a population of about 44,000 thousand it was like living in a small town where everyone would know you and if you needed anything they would be at your doorstep like a team working together lots of engagement going on within the community the old fashion ways but in a good way.

This old Historic Town of Danville really has everything that you need there is no need to be racing into a big city to have a great meal it offers a abundant dining many international restaurants and boutique shopping and holds a number of events attracting visitors from all over which gives the town a whole different vibe. I did happen to still be there on July 4th last year it was quite a event to see with all the streets closed of and the parades coming through the town streets.

What i enjoyed seeing most around the town was how people took pride in there gardens all perfectly manicured , lush green and very colorful with the season flowers all the local suburbs smelt like perfume i use to love walking the local streets early in the mornings and this house had the most gorgeous garden at the time i was there.

The local Danville Library was so pretty you could sit around this box garden and have your coffee while reading your book that you could borrow from the library.

I found walking around the local suburbs the local always had a smile for you and willing to have a chat to you one of my favorite morning walking spots was this beautiful tree tunnel of these amazing lush green trees lining the street where most of the locals would either jog along , walk or bicycle along a very beautiful tranquil spot at some parts of this local road.

The regional area of Danville is also know for its beautiful mountain hills , natural creeks and the mountain hills have many hiking and biking trails reaching to elevations of about 1,200 meters above sea level and on clear days you can see across to the bay of San Francisco from the mountain Mt. Diablo.

This is also the local round that leads you to the tree tunnel and the mountain hills leaving from my cousin house which is the white house just simply and a beautiful dwelling. This particular morning was so romantic walking through this tree tunnel over the bridge on a foggy morning fall was starting to set in early and it was time for us to leave and go and enjoy summer back home in Australia but i will be back to this beautiful town i do admirer the way this small town is focused on preserving it's small town character 🙂

I love driving and walking through the old Historic town of Danville. And like old small towns (like where I live) people as the friendliest... ever!!!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos. It has been a year that I've been there, it makes me want to visit Danville again. But is over a hundred miles away from where I live!
Have a fantastic weekend, @kohsamui99 🥰🌺🤙

It would be a beautiful 2 hour or so drive to Danville it's nice to get out on the roads sometimes clear the mind and enjoy. Small towns always seem to have a beautiful friendly atmosphere love to go back there again myself again in the near future 🙂
