[ENG-ESP] Dentro de las calles del Distrito Capital | Within the streets of the Capital District

No sé de dónde me lees o en qué horario, pero acá en Venezuela hoy es jueves 03 de Septiembre de 2020 a las 19:20 horas. Y los jueves son de recordar, son de #TBT.

Y revisando mi galería de imágenes encontré un viaje especial por las calles del Distrito capital. Calles que en muchísimas oportunidades he transitado y hasta ese viaje me di cuenta que caminaba sin determinar tantas maravillas que pueden estar en el lugar.

I don't know where you are reading from or at what time, but here in Venezuela today is Thursday, September 3rd, 2020 at 7:20 pm. And Thursdays are to remember, they are from #TBT.

And checking my image gallery I found a special trip through the streets of the Capital District. Streets that in many opportunities I have traveled and until that trip I realized that I was walking without determining so many wonders that can be in the place.

Y mientras recuerdo quiero compartirles un poco de este recorrido.

Me reuní con un montón de chicas que antes de ese día no conocía, todas de diferentes edades, contexturas, tamaños y personalidades. ¿Qué temíamos en común? Somos chicas con ganas de aventurarse, conocer, curiosas y, en definitiva, empoderadas.

And while I remember I want to share with you a little bit of this journey.

I met a lot of girls I didn't know before that day, all of them of different ages, backgrounds, sizes and personalities. What did we fear in common? We are girls with a desire to adventure, to know, curious and, in short, empowered.

El recorrido estaba guiado por mi profesor de la universidad favorito. Y aunque él es una persona un poco (bastante) complicado y estresante; ese día descubrí en él una persona totalmente diferente, fuera de las aulas de clases es una persona amable, divertida y juvenil. En la siguiente foto nos está mostrando uno de sus lugares favoritos ¡El Bar!

The tour was guided by my favorite university professor. And although he is a bit (quite) complicated and stressful person; that day I discovered in him a totally different person, outside the classroom he is a kind, funny and young person. In the following picture he is showing us one of his favorite places: The Bar!

¡Caminamos muchísimo! Pero al final me di cuenta que entre estas maravillosas (y algo descuidada) calles de la capital se encuentran una serie de esculturas que son muy poco apreciadas, tanto así que (cómo pueden observar en las fotos) están descuidadas, rayadas y en malas condiciones.

We walk a lot! But in the end I realized that among these wonderful (and somewhat neglected) streets of the capital there are a series of sculptures that are very little appreciated, so much so that (as you can see in the photos) they are neglected, scratched and in bad condition.

También me divertí saltando como una pequeña entre tantas bases que definen el espacio donde pueden transitar los automóviles. Y creé consciencia de dos cosas importantes:

• Las personas necesitan un espacio donde plasmar sus negocios o artes.

• Somos personas inconscientes, mal educadas y poco higiénicas. En varias partes de las calles del distrito capital existen muchos árboles sembrados, árboles que se ven afectados por la cantidad de basura que las personas (no todas) colocan ahí.

I also had fun jumping like a little girl among so many bases that define the space where cars can go. And I created awareness of two important things:

• People need a space where they can express their business or art.

• We are unconscious, ill-mannered and unhygienic people. In various parts of the streets of the capital district there are many trees planted, trees that are affected by the amount of garbage that people (not all) put there.

¿Y saben cuál fue mi escultura favorita del viaje? Una que está entre esas calles del Distrito Capital, una de Jesús Rafael Soto: Cubo virtual azul y negro. Así que a pesar de que sea una zona peligrosa no pude resistirme ¡Me tomé una foto!

And do you know what my favorite sculpture of the trip was? One that is among those streets of the Capital District, one by Jesús Rafael Soto: A virtual blue and black cube. So even though it's a dangerous area I couldn't resist taking a picture!

Y como buenos Venezolanos, después de tanto caminar, ver, divertirse y aprender terminamos en un bar conversado de nuestro recorrido por las calles del distrito capital.

And like good Venezuelans, after so much walking, watching, having fun and learning we ended up in a bar talking about our tour of the streets of the capital district.
