Cooling Day at Banahaw Spring

There's no stopping because summer is coming. The weather is undeniably hotter compared to before. Sea is fine to enjoy the summer but spring is way better. It's cooler like there's a block of ice making it happen. Well, if it was coming from nature that's what we expected. Although, a bit of time to spend in traveling because it's not like the time you get outside from your house it's already there. Just enjoy it if I were you since it's fun to go if you're with friends. That's what makes relaxing more fun if it will be with everyone.

So our time well spent yesterday happened like this.

It was early in the morning when we prepared the food. There will always be food in going to a place like this. You know money, it's troublesome if you don't have it. The foods, drinks, or anything you want that can be bought in a tourist spot will be a bit more expensive. That's why we brought food and even drinks to make our day more enjoyable. Yes, we are all aware of how liquor changes our introvert attitude to become extroverts. We need the drinks to enjoy the time like there's no second time.

It's a bit far from our place. We needed vehicles but we didn't have a 4-wheel. Most of us drove a motorcycle and we were thankful to have a middle-class friend who has a 3-wheel motorcycle. We needed it to place our food and drinks while going there.

It was not good weather since a typhoon is coming to our region. But we planned it for long so as long as it's not prohibited to have fun in spring. We decided to defeat the weather and to accomplish our plan yesterday. We did it or we should say we continued to be in this spring.

Approximately 5 km from our place we went to a mountainside. It's not a peak or a hill that it's hard to go with vehicles. It's passable because the road was the same as the national road level of the ground. You can see rice fields and mountains not far from the road. It was a fun journey because nature provided me with a good feeling. Well, as for me because I'm always a nature lover.

We arrived at the spring and I noticed the clear spring was telling me that it was so cold. I was trembling already by imagining how cold it might be. But that's the purpose of going to this place. To feel the cold because even though there's no sun. The hotness seemed very disturbing to our skin.

I took my eyes away from the water and accidentally glanced at this establishment. It was not here from the last time I was here. I asked my friends who knew this place very well. It's an Inn for those who didn't live in this place. The roof was the rooms and the bottom of it was the dining hall. Well, there will be drinking of it of course.

After paying and listing out names because that's the rules here. Although it is fine not to pay right away, getting names was important. You know that covid thing health protocol. We went back to the simple cottage. I remember those times when their cottages were built from bamboo trees and nips hut. Time flies I know.

No breeze to see that you can tell right away the water was really cold. No facial expressions from the locals for you to understand that the cold was really something. You would never know unless you soak yourself into the water. Just don't like to be a chicken that you will get off immediately as soon as you get wet. I'm sure you will think that when you feel your body splashing the water. But always remember that the purpose of going here is to feel the cold and to escape from the sweating body.

There's a diving place or tumbling if you want to show off. You know that thing when someone will see us do some tricks. We thought that it would be nice to have a show and let them be amazed. But let's forget about that because only kids do that most of the time. In fact, I saw some kids did that and they're fun to watch. Just like the olden days when we really wanted to enjoy the swimming thing. If you really want to enjoy it as well. No one will stop you because everyone is allowed to jump or to do some tricks here.

Finally, it's time to feel what this spring could offer. I slowly stepped on my foot just to check the temperature. I thought I would regret it if I drained myself. It was really cold and I'm not asking the readers to be impressed. I'm telling you the truth because I want you all to experience as well if you have time. Spring is really something if you may ask me.

I love this place because it was surrounded by trees and plants. The ray of the sun will not make you feel hot because they will be blocked by the trees. Also, I thought that seeing nature while swimming feels very special. It's unexplainable since I just felt it within me. Just ignore the cold water because you will keep on feeling it the more you think of it. lol
