My visit to Somanath temple : one of the 12 jyotirlinga

Today i would like to share my experience to visit Somnath temple which is most sacred place with an amazing architecture and a stunning sea. A temple represent India’s rich history, stunning architectural masterpiece and serene surrounding.

ABOUT THE TEMPLE ✅

Somnath temple is among one of the twelve jyotirlinga. A big temple of lord shiva . The temple situated in Gujarat on the shore of Arabian sea . Where you can go via road, train or air . The nearby airport is Porbandar and rajkot .

The temple built and destroyed many times in ancient time . The old temple was made with gold . But this new temple is an architectural masterpiece .

This is a famous pilgrimage site where so many devotees come and the temple architecture is truely stunning and rich .
The ambiance of the temple is so peaceful and the sea and waves make it more amazing. From all India devotees come here and seek the blessings .

MY EXPERIENCE ✅

We visit that temple in November 2024 during diwali vacation . I was always fascinated to go there and finally one day we decide to go for 3 day trip to dwarka and Somnath . First we went to dwarka , stay at Porbandar and next we went to somnath .
Somanath is a rich, historical , divine and famous hindu temple which is really really so beautiful and attractive. Inside the temple mobile and camera is not allowed but trust me the architecture is just wow. I am still amazed with the beauty.

We went there in the noon . There were Many devotees because of vacation time . Before submit the phone I captured some pictures of main temple . Which you can enjoy here .

Than we went inside , seek blessings , than we sit in the temple for almost one and half hour and just saw the waves , dhawja and temple architecture. I felt like just sitting there for hours .

After getting our phone I come and captured some shots of the sea. Because watching it from the temple just take my heart and i wanted to captured it beauty forever. Seems Arabian sea wants to touch that temple. There is also a beach at somnath and some more sacred temple and a museum.

It was really a great experience when my heart was happy , full and peaceful after seeking the blessing and witnessing such beautiful temple . I wish i get chance to visit that temple again and again in my life .

If you visit Gujarat, must visit that place. You can spend one day at Somnath and also visit to beach, museum and some more temples. The city is also beautiful and outside the temple there are many shopes selling many items including puja item , shank , shiva favourite damaru and somnath special coconut water and so many other things .
