Unplanned Adventures: From A Sunny Day To A Colourful Night

Well Hello There Fellow Travelers And Hivers

Well let's resume with the adventures, apologies I did skip a Saturday post last week I got busy and the day went on and I really don't like rushing these stories, they are the ones that I want to fully remember one day when I'm old and frail and having a rushed down post to keep as a memory... well that seems beyond pointless, won't you say?

Okay I say this as if this post is going to be a blaster of a adventure when it really isn't all that entertaining as the other adventures. The main reason for this is because we didn't plan on anything other than checking out the Christmas lights the evening, something that we have been postponing for a long time and the weather didn't really work with us. But we did manage to get to it and I am more than glad we did!

Of course the Christmas lights expedition would be best done at night, well there won't be any other time to enjoy it, this meant that we had the whole of the day ahead of us!

Now in a earlier post we met up with my sister and her husband who are newly weds and they happen to come to the same general area for their honeymoon, this meant that we were only a short drive from one another, around 80km's so we met up in the middle where conveniently enough the best beach is located Hartenbos.

Needless to say we spent the day on the beach enjoying the waves and the sun baking on our backs!

The perfect weather for the perfect beach adventure, nice and sunny with a light breeze to cool you off!

It was on this day where I started realizing that I am entering that stage of my life where I crave a little one, more so my little one!

I've been entering or have entered that stage of my life a few years ago actually, the problem being that conditions aren't yet fully there and at the current moment I am not financially ready for such a big responsibility, mentally I'm probably about 70% there and I say 70% because even though I think I know what I'll be getting myself in for I still don't really have any clue.

Having read a few of the posts shared by @tarazkp it's definitely not an easy task but it is certainly worth every second, right?
Sorry for the mention. 😅

Okay so I have to mention that this is not my kiddo, a group of people came and sat right next to us, and at first I thought to myself "Look at these wackos" because they didn't even leave a meter wide gap between us, but by the end if the day we started chatting and they weren't bad people. I'm just quick to judge sometimes.

And for some or other reason this little lady found an interest in me and the Betty. Why I do not know and will never know but she kept running towards us as if she wants to play with us and well I had no problem with that since I have already developed some kind of child fever if I may call it that!

Besides the little kiddo stealing my heart there was also a few noteable and cool stuff to be seen around the beach.

Now however beautifull nature may be it can be beyond brutal as well, but that is nature's way right, so the beach is covered with "Blou Blasies" which to my surprise is called "Man o' War" and that is something I never knew so it is after all true that we learn something new every day however small it may seem. But back to what I was trying to say, the beach is covered with these man o' war's and well it's also covered with vast amounts of sea snail's and boy oh boy they jump on these man o' war's like they are made of chocolate!

Another thing I learned that day was that these sea snails actually have little mouths not like the average garden snail which doesn't.

The classic scene of locks on a fence, couple's cementing their so called love with a lock and throwing away the keys, pfffff what a load of crap don't you guys think?

I think me and the Betty should put one up next year. 😉

Laughs I love how I contradict myself in that statement.

Okay so jokes aside it does have some beautifull aesthetic to it, I wonder how many lock would have been put up by the end of this year!

The Christmas Lights

Yes yes I know Christmas has been three months ago but since I am posting my holiday adventures in a series like fashion going through the days I am only now reaching it. Why do I even feel the need to explain this, this is my blog. 😂

Before we start I apologize for the blurring of the lights 😅 I don't have no fancy camera to take with me everywhere I go so these were taken with a simple mobile phone. Although I do feel some came out quite nicely.

I'm going to divide this into two small sections, the reason for this was that we stopped at two houses who both had proper decorations. There was about seven or eight houses that had decorations but of them all only two proved the worth to actually do a walk through of and those two certainly went above and beyond what they had to.

Imagine how much they spent on electricity, yeah sure one of those sets doesn't eat that much power but combine them and the normal household power you consume for appliances... It will definitely be noticed in your power consumption.

The Second House

While the first house proved more friendly in terms of feeling welcomed with the owners walking outside and chatting with the people who come to view the beauty of the lights at the house, this one had it's own inviting feeling to it.

The cats, there was about three cats who walked up and down and with us as we explored all the different sets of lights. It felt almost like the three musketeers in some weird way, laughs. The one cat seemed to stay close to the entrance to the house, while the other one leapt a bit further and explored the yard playing with the bugs that are drawn by the lights and the third and coolest cat was a big fat cat, sort of a lazy Garfield, but this lazy Garfield was the biggest explorer of them all.

Now you see him and then you don't, he would run off into the darkness of the street only to return two minutes later hacking and slashing at the other cats in a play full manner. He certainly has that I don't care but I care attitude.

So I didn't feel the need to share something with every Christmas lights photo, I'd be forever typing on this post and neither did I post the photos in a correct order I just threw them out and about for everyone to enjoy. Well I hope most enjoys it, laughs!

I have to add that it felt much more exhilarating in person than it does looking at the photos, almost like trying to get a photo of the moon on a mobile device, it just doesn't work.

If all else failed at least the Betty had a blast with the cats and found the night adventure to enjoy the lights more than a pleasure!

The people inside must have thought what on earth is wrong with these people standing infront of our house!

I thought it good to add this photo, it's actually apart of a whole different post that I want to write but I somehow misplaced all the photos of that day, don't ask me how just know that I did. Stupid right? But expect to see this in a future post!

If I can somehow trace those photos!
