How about those water?

avatar

So, the water tower has been out for @cryptobrewmaster for some days now. It was part of the roadmap to get this feature going. You can see the roadmap in Discord if you haven't already.

As we can see, some nice updates are in the works. Although, it does bum me out that tasks are further down the list. At the same time, it's not like we are in a hurry to get things rolled out.

The water tower is neat in that it produces any quality of water every 30 minutes as long as you are renting it. I went head first when it went live and decided to rent it for one month. In hindsight, it might not be the best approach as I hadn't looked into the math and cost-efficiency of the rent.

If you haven't noticed already, the price of water in CBM has plummeted. The dev team is planning on reducing the number of free water cards from daily quests. So, the water tower will stay relevant for the foreseeable future.

Regardless, it's a ridiculous amount of water you'd be getting if you spend some CBM to rent the structure. The chance of me ever running out of water in the current state of the game is zero. Of course, @rollie1212 did mention that water will have more uses in future updates. He was referring to the field where you get barley, wheat, etc.

Speaking of having too much water, I can't help but imagine the meme where the guy is holding a ton of limes. So, I captioned it in Imgflip:

It feels like that, doesn't it? For now, at least.

I do wonder how much CBM it would cost to run an extensive brewing operation in the future. Right now, it costs me 1.35 CBM for every 2 water cards I collect. The number of times I claim each day varies depending on how busy I am. Each player will have different set of circumstances that influence their approach. As long as there are no widespread automation, it should be very diverse.

I'm sure there are players making money out of this game, but it seems very tedious unless automated. Even then, there are still better options out on Hive alone for that purpose.

I do look forward to see what more this game will bring. Until then, I will click away at my leisure.

i just turned on the renter for the day. indeed if water becomes to important might as well have some in stock right?

Which also means you never have to claim them during daily tasks anymore which also leaves room for other stuff. not a bad thing.
It is tedious..but...no one said it had to be a quick fix. Im liking the imporovement!

Very interesting. I started playing this game but then I gave up on it because I had other stuff I needed to focus my time and energy on. I am glad that they are continuing to develop it and add things to it for the people who are still playing it.

Yeah, this game is still lightweight compared to the time sink that was Zynga's Mafia Wars.
