Teach them the difference between good touches (hugs from a loved one) and bad touches (touches that make them feel uncomfortable or scared).

Encourage them to speak up if someone makes them feel uncomfortable or if they have been hurt.

Monitor their online activity and set limits on their internet use.

Teach them to never share personal information online, such as their name, address, or phone number.

Teach them the importance of not meeting people they met online in real life without permission and supervision.

Teach them not to keep secrets that make them uncomfortable, particularly if they involve other people's behavior.
