Those actually look more like split gill mushrooms because of the fuzzy top. They are a nice edible as well and are easier to store since they dry out and rehydrate easily.
maybe with that name there is no problem either. but where I live it's called oyster mushroom.
It has a strong mushroomy taste right? They are a bit rare here where I live but I always harvest them when I find them.
