Mushroom Monday - A QUICK LOOK UNDER THE PINES
This mushroom, growing among the needles under the pines ...
... is probably some kind of Lactarius ...
... it surely looks like one ... but I'm not sure ... I don't know what species is this.
There is a fly, resting on its cap ... and here ...
... I can tell you the name of the species ...
... this is the Suillia fuscicornis fly. The larvae of these flies burrow into some species of mushrooms and feed inside.
Other mushrooms of the same kind are growing nearby.
This one looks like some fungi PAC - MAN when seen from above.
I had to buy some stuff in the city some days ago ... so I visited a few shops there and then ... on the way back home ...
... I stopped in the forest not far from the sea, halfway between the city and my home.
It's a nice place ... dominated by pine trees.
I found some mushrooms ... took a few shots ...
... this one grew and developed in an interesting pose ... and was surrounded by some kind of silky thing ...
... two springtails were feeding on it.
This is some kind of bolete ... maybe the Xerocomellus chrysenteron.
This is a friend resting on some fallen tree.
This is the Smilax aspera plant ... that looks a bit like some strange climbing creature on its way to the top of the tree.
This is the Mycena leptocephala, a very common small mushroom under the pines.
During that short excursion under the conifers ...
... I found also a nice spot covered with moss ... mushrooms look great in combination with moss ... and fortunately I found some small mushrooms as well ... this one ...
... and this Ramaria stricta. And that's all ... as always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
Macro photography. An interesting trip to the forest, how many mushrooms and insects are there...
There is always something interesting going on in the woods.
So nice to be able to visit a nearby forest! Those trees are quite old! The last two mushrooms look rather interesting and cute too! It’s getting dark there quite fast!!
Your descriptions are simple and interesting. You had a good walk, my friend. I love your unique pictures!
Thank you :)
This year is the most disastrous in terms of mushrooms, as long as I live, but I have not seen this (
For 4 months, not a single heavy rain (((
I envy your luck!
Interesting. Here was the opposite. After some relatively dry, windy autumns with not many mushrooms, this year has a rich, warm and humid - but very short mushroom season.
Today the first snow fell, but according to the forecast, it should still melt, and in December I usually collect Lepista saeva ...
They look like a good meal. Pretty big and meaty.
Yes, in our area, in the fall, it is the noblest mushroom ...
