In search of mushrooms - Paxillus involutus
Hello fungi lovers, one more week here contributing my latest find, in one of my recent outings in search of mushrooms.
This winter is being very rainy, I think that for several years it had not rained so much on these dates, at least that I remember.
It may be bad for some that it rains so much, on the other hand I am enjoying it a lot, I do not stop finding new varieties of mushrooms every time I go out in the forest, this time I found a mushroom called Paxillus involutus.
At first glance I thought it could be a Sarcodon squamosus since they have a very similar way of growing and share the same brown color, but after looking carefully I saw that it lacked scales.
As you can see in some shots I found it coming out of a log, although unfortunately I couldn't take a photo in which that detail could be better seen.
In this last photograph you can see the mushroom between the dry litter and the trunk where it grew, the leaves with their characteristic brown color but traces of green grass can be seen as proof of the humidity that exists at this time of year.
