In search of mushrooms - Sarcodon squamosus

(Edited)

Hello fungi lovers, another week here contributing in my recent find, on one of my last outings in search of mushrooms.

t has a very peculiar shape, nothing similar to the typical mushrooms with conical hats and feet glued to the ground or some other material; I found it in an area of pine forests and I was amazed because I had never seen anything like it before.

The hat is composed of a pale brown background covered with scales of a dark color, something that makes it very visually striking and easy to recognize from a long distance.

In this last photograph, try to create a composition that is pleasing to the eye, the mushrooms by themselves predominate in the image, but the trunk behind them, create a beautiful harmony and completely fill the scene.

a strange thing: browsing with ecency, i see all of the post; using peakd app, I can see only one (!) picture of it. something wrong here..

you've got an intresting fungi to met today, indeed. nice you shared it with us. this Sarcodon sp. has a cool weird inside of the cap, sadly you didnt take close-ups of it as well.

happy #fungifriday, mate!

Yes, I realized days ago that some images are not displayed in Peakd, it is quite strange. You're right, I missed taking close-ups 😩
