This whole story begins when Atlanna flees from Atlantis because they want to force her into an arranged marriage, it is there that she decides to betray her world and ends up being exiled. In a strong storm she is rescued by Tom Curry thinking that she is a beautiful shipwreck. After a time taking care of her they fall in love and have a baby that will become Jason Momoa and they live very happily. Until the hosts of Atlantis find them and Atlanna decides to return voluntarily to suffer her punishment and save the family she loves so much.
Toda esta historia inicia cuando Atlanna huye de Atlantis porque la quieren obligar a un matrimonio arreglado, es allí donde decide Traicionar a su mundo y acaba siendo exiliada. En una fuerte tormenta ella es rescatada por Tom Curry pensando que es una hermosa naufraga, Luego de un tiempo cuidando de ella se enamoran y tienen un bebé que se convertirá en Jason Momoa y viven muy felices. Hasta que las huestes de la Atlántida los encuentran y Atlanna decide regresar voluntariamente para sufrir su castigo y salvar a la familia que tanto ama.
The plot takes a turn when underwater King Orm decides to bring together all the kingdoms of the sea in order to start a war against the beings on the surface. Desperate to try to avoid this, Princess Merca advised by Vulko a Willem Dafoe, seeks Arthur son of Atlanna to find the mythical trident which would place him as the true King of the Seven Seas and thus stop the destruction intentions of his half brother who inherits the throne upon the death of his father.
La trama da un giro importa cuándo bajo el agua el Rey Orm decide juntar a todos los reinos del mar con el fin de iniciar una guerra contra los seres de la superficie. Desesperada por tratar de evitar esto la princesa Merca asesorada por Vulko un Willem Dafoe, busca a Arthur hijo de Atlanna para encontrar el mítico tridente el cual lo colocaría como el auténtico Rey de los Siete Mares y así detener las intenciones de destrucción de su medio hermano quien hereda el trono al fallecer su padre.
