Breach (2020) movie review

It has been a while I wrote one of these movie reviews but today, after finishing this movie that spanned two weeks if watching due to its immense horribleness, I felt compelled to share my pain.

The movie is a sci-fi action thriller with a love story embedded in the shitty plot. It is set up at a time far in the future when humans have apparently screwed up Earth so much that we have to travel through space for 84 days before reaching out new planet. The space ship conveys roughly 300k people in cryogenic sleep to this new planet.

I'm not certain of what happens to old Earth but new Earth is important enough for people to travel through space for, so it must be something. However, things don't go as planned and during the trip as tragedy strikes.

Apparently, someone let in a weird alien creature that melts your organs, takes over your body and turns your insides into blob substance that looks like used engine oil. Oh and the occupied host starts exhibiting zombie symptoms where it transfers from one person to another that's bitten. Sounds very familiar.

Anyways, the movie featured Bruce Willis and a bunch of other dudes that I really didn't care about when I was downloading it. I really just wanted to watch a movie where Bruce would do some GI Joe shit but this one was just too underwhelming.

First of all, they had lasers, machine guns, flamethrowers but the solution to the problem was floor wax or some shit. As if that wasn't stupid enough, they poured the floor wax, seeing as it is inflammable, into a flame thrower and made floor wax flames. I mean, this is quite stupid when you consider that they had already established that flames don't kill them but only makes the monsters angry and using them reduces the potency of the chemical. It is even stupider when you consider that there's a smoke detector in the space ship.

To cut the long story short, the guy got the girl and they didn't live happily ever after. Moving forward, I hope I never have to survive this kind of shitty movie in my life again. It was horrible and very painful to watch.
