🎬Netflix in Check? | Chess player demands (Queen's Gambit)🥃
Hello, my moviegoers, I've long wanted to write about this series but seeing that there were already many reviews about it... I refrained, but this is fresh out of the oven, so let's gossip a little bit.
Hola, mis cinéfilos, hace mucho que quería escribir sobre esta serie pero al ver que ya habían muchas reseñas sobre ella pues… me abstuve, pero esto está recién sacadito del horno, así que vamos a farandulear un poquito.
And as you saw in the title, who inspired Netflix production to create the magnificent series, Queen's Gambit, sued them for putting "false information" and is asking for about 5 million dollars to stop being so annoying. But what outraged she the most? Nona Gaprindashvili, assures that NOT she played against men nothing else, that although it is true that at that time the game was not so famous among women, she played against several of them; neither that the Russian was her biggest opponent and the only grandmaster, which in fact were at least ten; and well, maybe in court she has counted more feats during her career. Another little thing she asked for, was to change the chapters (even knowing that it is a mini series) to tell the truth and a public apology to her person, but for me I think she suggested to redo the series. She also mentions that she is very sure that she will win this lawsuit but she can't say more because her lawyers forbid her to do so (very convenient). Nona came out humble the 80 year old.
Y tal como lo vieron en el título, quien inspiró a la producción de Netflix a crear la magnífica serie, Gambito de Dama, los demandó por poner ”información falsa” y le está pidiendo unos 5 millones de dólares para que no siguiera tan molesta. Pero ¿qué fue lo que le indignó más? Nona Gaprindashvili, asegura que NO jugó contra hombres nada más, que si bien es cierto que en ese entonces el juego no era tan famoso entre las féminas, jugó contra varias de ellas; tampoco que el Ruso era su mayor contrincante y el único gran maestro, que de hecho fueron al menos diez; y bueno, quizás en el juzgado haya contado más proezas durante su carrera. Otra cosita que pidió, fue que se cambiaran los capítulos (aun sabiendo que es una mini serie) para decir la verdad y una disculpa pública hacia su persona, pero para mí creo que sugirió rehacer la serie. También menciona que está muy segura de que ganará esta demanda pero que no puede decir más nada porque sus abogados se lo prohíben (muy conveniente). Salió humilde la Nona de 80 años.
By all this, when I see the news, I suppose the chess player would claim something along the lines of I didn't take that many pills or haven't that many problems, but nope. EYE:👀 I'm not saying that with everything she's doing it's not for less, but knowing the magnitude of the company she wants to face, would you do it with that kind of arguments? Of course Netflix is ignoring all this, because, of course, they see it as irrelevant compared to other lawsuits they have received, but even so they are preparing to annul the judgment and continue in their own; plus they can claim that they placed "Based on real events", and we all know that this little word (Based) has many interpretations that gives them the power of freedom to adapt the story in their favor. Knowing how this world is handled, maybe Nona is looking for some publicity but is not looking for it in the best way.
A todas estas, cuando veo la noticia, supongo que la ajedrecista alegaría algo tipo no me tomé tantas pastillas ni tenía tantos problemas, pero no. OJO: 👀no digo que con todo lo que está haciendo no sea para menos, pero uno sabiendo la magnitud de empresa a quien se quiere enfrentar ¿lo harías con ese tipo de argumentos? Por su puesto que Netflix está haciendo caso omiso de todo esto, pues, claro, lo ve sin relevancia en comparación a otras demandas que han recibido, pero aun así se preparan para anular el juicio y seguir en lo suyo; además de que ellos pueden alegar que colocaron ”Basado en hechos reales”, y todos sabemos que esa palabrita (Basado) tiene muchas interpretaciones que les da el poder de libertad de adaptar la historia a su favor. Sabiendo cómo se maneja este mundo, quizás Nona está buscando algo de publicidad pero no la está buscando de la mejor manera.
Undoubtedly, a case that is giving much to talk about, hence my previous comment that the celebrity is looking for publicity, but I come back and repeat: it's Netflix, I don't think they will lose this lawsuit with those arguments, unless the chess player pulls a move that really leaves them in Mate (and let's hope that hopefully it is not "they changed my name"). And what do you think of these moves of the chess player?
Sin duda, un caso que está dando mucho de qué hablar, por eso mi comentario anterior de que la famosa busca publicidad, pero vuelvo y repito: es Netflix, no creo que pierdan esta demanda con esos argumentos, a menos que la ajedrecista le saque una jugada que de verdad los deje en Mate (y esperemos que no sea ”cambiaron mí nombre”). Y ustedes ¿qué piensan de estos movimientos de la ajedrecista?

Es señora podrá ser muy inteligente, pero no veo futuro a lo que pide, porque esta mini serie es una adaptación de la novela de Walter Tevis, que le gustaba mucho el ajedrez y se inspiro en Robert Fisher y otros grandes ajedrecistas para crear el personaje y el universo de la historia. La parte de la adicción del personaje esta basada en la propia experiencia del escritor que fue adicto.
Si, pero ella cree que al ser el personaje femenino, todos los derechos son de ella. Pero bueno, la farándula y sus cosas.🤡😜
