PLOT

The plot focuses on a zombie epidemic that has just attacked the city of South Korea due to a chemical leak and on the interpersonal or family relationships that we humans establish before and during a crisis.

The main characters are a father and his daughter who, despite the blood and emotional link, have not been very close due to the father's high workload. The girl, feeling lonely, decides that she wants to spend her birthday with her mother, who has been living in Busan since their divorce. What they did not know was that this trip would change their lives and everyone's future.

Something to consider also in this movie is that zombies move fast so once the action starts it is constant suspense, the way zombies act with dramatic and fast movements is very particular to Korean cinema, I love their unique way of playing these roles.

The production and direction of the film have moments that leave you breathless, that make you feel part of what is happening, and that is also a true work of art. Especially one of the last scenes in which they leave room for interpretation through indirect framing and a perfect soundtrack...

Standing ovation for that film and its final minutes!

I remember that when I finished watching it I kept saying that they had to do a second part and it seems that my prayers have been answered. Today, while doing my usual research I do before writing a post, I discovered that on July 15th of this year they have released the sequel, and of course, I will watch it, and when I do it I will write about it.
