Is a supernatural thriller and drama film based on the novel by Alice Sebold (which has the same name), starring the talented actress Saoirse Ronan as Susie Salmon, a 14-year-old girl who was murdered and after her death she observes everything from "the in-between". Due to her early and unjust death she is not able to find "peace" and remains in a time dimension, as she is torn between exacting revenge (by doing everything she can to unmask her killer) or allowing her family to heal and move on.

I have to admit, the acting of the antagonist was amazing, an actor known for other genres and roles that are not deep at all compared to this one, he did so well in his performance that I ended up hating him in the movie, which turned out to be a good thing in this case.

Desde el inicio se sabe que la adorable Susie Salmon va a morir o esta muerta, el enfoque estuvo genial, se desarrolló como en reverso. Poco a poco explican como murió y quien fue el responsable. Tengo que reconocer que la actuación del antagonista estuvo increíble, un actor conocido por otros géneros y papeles que no son nada profundos en comparación con este, hizo tan bien su interpretación que terminé por odiarlo en la película, lo que resultó ser algo bueno.

It was a bit sad to see how her sudden death deeply hurt his family, because of the whole grieving and pre-grieving process. As usual, they were worried at first because she didn't make it home and they were in that way for a while until they found out. The story shows how each member of the family deals with the loss, and even the concern of the whole neighborhood and how everything changes after such a tragic event.

Como es normal, al principio estaban preocupados porque no llegó a casa y así estuvieron por un tiempo hasta que se enteraron. La historia muestra como cada miembro de la familia lidia con la pérdida, e incluso la preocupación de todo el vecindario y cómo todo cambia después de un suceso tan trágico.

The thing is that her father wants justice o revenge, he concentrates on it leaving everything else in the background, the couple's relationship deteriorates, the wife sees how her partner is lost in his "mission" and they both neglect their other daughter who was also dealing with a lot, in short, everything is a mess.

Ninguno parecía poder seguir adelante, todos se toman la situación de la peor manera, aunque no creo que exista una buena manera de tomar una noticia de ese tipo. La cosa es que su padre quiere justicia o venganza, se concentra en ello dejando todo lo demás en segundo plano, la relación de pareja se deteriora, la esposa ve como su compañero se pierde es su "misión" y ambos descuidan a su otra hija que también estaba lidiando con mucho, en fin, todo es un caos.

As the film progresses it reveal several scenes with some suspense, where gradually let us see how she died. Some fragments of Susie's memories are very disturbing to say the least, putting myself in her shoes (even hypothetically) was not easy, what she had to go through just for being a good, curious and trusting child, was too much to be considered a lesson.

As disturbing as many scenes were, even though they show a lot of what happened they also omit some other things to let you imagine what happened, that takes you to another level of disturbance because by letting you imagine what happened, they get you more involved with the movie and you feel everything on a more personal level.

Por más perturbantes que fueron muchas escenas, aunque muestran mucho de lo que pasó también omiten unas cosas para que a tu juicio te imagines lo que sucedió, eso te lleva a otro nivel de perturbación porque al dejar que imagines lo que pasó, logran que te involucres más con la película y sientas todo a un nivel más personal.

You'll see her first love, her rebellious moments, what she loved and was passionate about, the close relationship she had with her dad, the beautiful memories she created with her mother, and even her good memories with her "cool" grandmother.

Aunque no todo en esta película es trágico, también tiene sus bellos recuerdos los momentos previos a su muerte fueron muy hermosos, ella estaba tan feliz y llena de vida. Muestran a su primer amor, sus momentos de rebeldía, lo que le gustaba y apasionaba, la relación tan cercana que tenía con su padre, los bonitos recuerdos que creó con su madre e incluso sus buenos momentos con su liberal abuela.

The special effects in this movie were amazing, while she stays in that "parallel dimension" incredible things happend, the whole environment changes according to her mood. The beautiful landscapes as well as the others that were not, were very pretty good, besides the plot that was spectacular from beginning to end, the more they reveal the more you want to know, plus all the teachings present on the film, especially that reminder not to miss opportunities and dare because life is only one.

Los efectos especiales de esta película estuvieron grandiosos, mientras ella se mantiene en esa "dimensión paralela" ocurren cosas increíbles todo el ambiente cambia según su estado de ánimo. Tanto los hermosos paisajes como los otros que no, estuvieron muy bien logrados, además de la trama que estuvo espectacular de principio a fin, mientras más revelan más quieres saber, además de todas las enseñanzas que deja la película principalmente la de no dejar pasar las oportunidades y atreverse porque la vida es una sola.
