Peppers:

Peppers are a vegetable that acquires their name thanks to the fact that Christopher Columbus associated it with pepper. It is also this man who brings it from the Americas to Spain and from there to the rest of the world.

It's a fruit widely used in Venezuelan cuisine, in salads, fried foods, stews, baked foods, etc... It is consumed raw or cooked. Whole or sliced, powdered or chopped, dry or freshly extracted. In vinaigrettes, in pickles. They are of various colors according to their species in reds, yellows, greens, oranges and others. Its flavor is somewhat sweet.

It's high in water, vitamin C, carotene, antioxidants, calcium, potassium, minerals, antioxidants, etc...

It has healing properties for depression, arthritis, healing, increases the body's metabolism.

I always have it in my garden. I plant it in germinators, I get the seedlings and then I transplant them to a pot, their final place. I love to see it grow, then when it has its little flowers that end in the fruits. From very small until they reach their ideal size to go into my kitchen.

El pimentón:
Es una hortaliza que adquiere este nombre gracias a que Cristóbal Colón lo relaciona con la pimienta. También es este señor quien lo trae desde las Américas hacia España y desde allí al resto del mundo.

Es un fruto muy usado en la cocina venezolana, en ensaladas, frituras, guisados, horneados etc... Se consume crudo o cocido. Entero o en rodajas, en polvo o picado, seco o recién extraído. En vinagretas, en encurtidos. Son de varios colores según su especie en rojos, amarillos, verdes, anaranjados y otros. Su sabor es algo dulce.

Es de alto contenido en agua, vitamina c, caroteno, antioxidantes, calcio,potasio, minerales, antioxidantes,etc...
Tiene propiedades curativas en la depresión, artritis, cicatrizante,aumenta el metabolismo del cuerpo.

Yo siempre lo tengo en mi huerta. lo siembro en germinadores, obtengo los plantines y luego los trasplanto a la maceta a su sitio definitivo. Me encanta verla crecer, luego cuando tiene sus pequeñas flores que terminan en los frutos. Desde muy pequeños hasta que alcanzan su tamaño ideal para ir a mi cocina.
