Those Wasted Years

Many are the times when we tend to look at the past,
Of what happened to our love we promised should not last,
It was a sweet surrender
We vowed to let no one put asunder
We danced like gypsies
Under the midnight blue over the seas
Whispering sweet nothings
Sharing the nectar of honey
With so much ecstasy beyond compare

But just like any promises,
They were made to be broken
This weary heart so shaken
You promised to sail and cross the seas
With me in your heart so no one could possess
I prefer to cross the storm with you
I know we can tackle, me and you

It was beyond my wildest dream
When you let the storm carry you all along
She was the devil
It is not where you belong
Come back to me my love
Kindle this aching heart
And promise not to depart
Don/t let us fall apart

It was a whirlwind
I wished it could be unwind
Shuttering everything

I could still recall
Those wasted years
Now the storm had ceased
The silence so deafening
I could feel the cold wind on my cheeks
Could it be you?
