The Hive Engagement League

This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.

Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here, including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks. Only the top 100 scores are shown.

The score is made up from a simple formula which uses the following types of engagement:

  • Posts (P)
  • Comments (C)
  • Number of people spoken to (PS)
  • Comments outside of own posts (CO)
  • Unique Author posts (UA)
  • Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (CR)
  • Comments - length in characters (CL)
  • Up-votes to others (V)
  • Up-votes to different authors (UV)
  • Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus HIVE (SV)

Congratulations to all the participants in the Engagement League's Top 100. Again last week you showed you efforts at reaching your to members of Hive and having some positive impact on their Hive journey.

For myself, I was able to increase my participation in the EL from 24th position to inside the Top 20, rising to No. 15. This extra effort is due in part by me joining in the Weekend-Engagement topics that @galenkp holds in his Engage the Weekend Community. It's an awesome community you can participate in that's interesting and fun. You get the chance to meet some really nice Hive members who rally around a particular topic and engage the entire weekend.

Find something you're interested in and engage there to increase your level of engagement in the EL. If you find a group or initiative that's fun and interesting, it won't seem like extra work.

I appreciate all the sponsors of the EL for offering prizes in case a member lands on their lucky number. I hope to become a sponsor one day in this effort.

My week started off very slow, then Friday came, and there was the weekend-engagement post by @galenkp, music, and there were a lot of people leaving their favorite tunes, both English and Non-English, it was a very engaging post, and I got to hear a lot of music I had not heard, until that point my comment week was a pretty lame effort on my part. Yes, the music topic in the Weekend Engagement was very entertaining. I also got a chance to hear music I'd never stopped to listen to before. We can all learn a lot from each other and increase our engagement efforts just by stepping out and exploring other communities and see what's happening there.

Yeah I was one of the first to get hit and so sold all my sbi units back at the beginning of that EIP hardfork which stopped the downvotes. Don't know if it is still going on but hope that things have calmed down a bit since then!

Hello. When I first started, I wanted to improve my engagement level. I visited different communities and engaged with others. You'd be amazed at the different content you find in other communities. There I met lots of people. Not only was the purpose of engaging, but meeting others and learning their views.

Now, I've started posting content in several communities. And I love to enter contests. I've encoutered a lot of engagement there with other contestants.

Even though I don't engage to get on the list, it is nice to have that measurement to go by, so I'm just happy to be anywhere on there...😀

Thanks @justclickindiva! Just imagine what I could have done if I had not of had Saturday night (it wasn't intentional either- unforseen circumstances...) I could have risen above my #6th spot form the week before...though, that doesn't matter cause I'm not here to win, just have fun by engaging...putting the social in social media and I was always a bit of a social butterfly...lol....😄

Yeah so many scrumptious recipes, so little time to cook them....😞
