AskLeo - What "Gems" Are You Accumulating This Bear Market?

avatar

Bitcoin got itself a slap in the face, just a few hours ago, when tried to jump higher than $32,000, after consolidating for so long between $29,000 and $30,000. If you ask me, it's done exactly the opposite of what the majority thought it would do.

When will we learn and stop predicting its path?

I was thinking this morning, though, about something we discussed a long time ago in the crypto community, which was market manipulation. When BTC was just a few grands, back in 2018-2019 we were saying that it was easy to manipulate its price cuz of the "thin market cap". Now it's close to one trillion and the way I see it it is still easily manipulable.

The crypto market is not just about Bitcoin, although tbh it has proved to be the most resilient one from any aspect you can think of. I'm all in alts... again, and was thinking today about what should I add, while some of them are still on sale.

Fortunes are to be made during bearish times when you can get them on discount. In this regard, the example of @empoderat who's made a really great trade during the past cycle is still relevant. The man basically turned about $10,000 into one mill... Thumbs up for that.

I'm a bit lazy and dumb when it comes to DYOR, thus I was thinking to steal some investing ideas from you guys through this #askleo posts. So, what gems are you accumulating in this bear market and why?

Feel free and share as many as possible, I have plenty of time to dig into them and maybe pick some for myself as well. I'm not aiming at making millions in the next bull cycle, but finally buying myself a house with crypto money would be great.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

They just banned body armor sales in New York state.

There's only one reason why a government bans armor for civilians.

It's time to buy body armor.

HIVE and more HIVE.

In reality, farmlands may be wise, with fresh running water and solar panels.

To be fair, it was 970K$ at the exact top and I take out big sums before my portfolio deflated rapidly (and while it keep happening). I'm not anywhere near that 1M$ anymore to be fair.

Still, many multiples higher from my starting point.

Thx to make smile Adrian :)

Here's my list:

Ethereum - I like Ethereum because it's the most versatile platform out there. It's used for smart contracts, ICOs, dApps, and more. I believe that the smart contract space is going to explode over the next several years, and Ether will be an important part of that.

Ripple - Ripple is another cryptocurrency that I think is going to grow significantly over the next few years. It's the de facto payment protocol for banks, and I think that's going to continue to be true. Plus, they've partnered with a lot of big companies, including Starbucks and MoneyGram.

Monero - Monero is the best privacy coin out there. I don't use it much, but I like it.

Litecoin - Litecoin is very similar to Bitcoin, but it has faster transaction times and cheaper fees. It also uses a different algorithm, which makes it even harder to mine. I think Litecoin is going to become more popular as Bitcoin gets more expensive.

Cardano - Cardano is a new blockchain project that's trying to solve scalability issues with Bitcoin and Ethereum. They're working on a solution called Ouroboros, which could be huge.

I am not really making any changes and I think I will probably just stick to earning here on Hive. Unless prices go lower, I don't think I am planning to add to things like BTC.

Set a DCA weekly/monthly buy on BTC with fiat and forget about it.

Some alts are in a very sweet spot atm, ETH or HIVE are always good choices.

if you're looking for something a bit more volatile AVA, ORN, DAO, RUNE & SPS are clearly on my radar.

Best approach, besides BTC/ETH, pick 2-3 max and stick with them.

I have some AVA. Will have to add some ORN. I think I heard of it in the past from you as well.
