Blockchain Game: Litebringer

I guess it comes with being exposed to cryptocurrencies that we will inevitably come across blockchain gaming, NFT's etc.

Along the way I came across crypto kitties (I actually cannot remember which came first - Kitties or Splinterlands). I did not really dip my toes into Crypto Kitties but I did on Aethia which actually died eventually.

Then came Splinterlands. As someone who isn't really into gaming, it attracted me from the income perspective of things. You can invest in it and take some gains, maybe, while enjoying the game. I bought a few packs and did not really understand the game and left it at that, did not play, until earlier this year. The game progressed nicely over the past two years and I lost a lot of opportunity just because I dismissed it. With the tiered ratings, I am stuck to just Silver III.

Litebringer

A friend, @clicker shared Litebringer to us not too far back. It is a game built to operate on the Litecoin blockchain. Again this works for me because it is an idle game - just send your character to quests and they'll bring back items that you may use to strengthen your character, or trade in the market.

Litebringer so far only works on Windows, downloadable here. As soon as you install, you will have to make an account and you will automatically be given the keys which of course, you have to keep safe because this cannot be recovered any other way. Then you can create your password that you will use to login each time you play the game.

Free Lites

If you are new to crypto, or you do not want to dish out some coins to the game just yet, you can make use of the faucet. You will get 10 Lites (1000 Lites = 1LTC) when you go to settings, then account, then click "get coins".

10 Lites should be able to get you started. There is a fee to create a character and to make actions on the game, like sending the characters to quests and putting items for sale in the market.

Characters

The game has RPG elements - you create characters that would go on quests through the lands of Asirenia. You can equip these characters to enable them to succeed on their quests.

There are three types of characters:

• Fighter
• Rouge
• Sorcerer

You will be able to find their stats on the dashboard - their current level, power, evoloves, and the loots they got from quests.

Asirenia

The map of Asirenia is where you will explore and send your characters on quests. There are dungeons, shrines and boss missions and they are colored green if they are available for your level of character. Red means you will fail the quest.

A mission can give you elements, equipment, or simply XP, all of which are important to power up and evolve your character.

The Marketplace

Litebringer players can buy and sell items and characters through the in-game marketplace.

So you get the idea - mine items through quests, then you can sell these at the marketplace, or vice versa. Buy from the marketplace rare items to strengthen your character so you can mine bigger items.
