Indian Artists getting paid in Crypto

Raftaar who is a huge Indian Rapper has just announced that he will be taking his Performance Fees in Cryptocurrencies. We have seen the demand for cryptocurrencies increase in India quite exponentially but this is something I was really not expecting. Paying Artists to perform with Crypto was mist definitely not on my list and now that this is indeed happening and I say this because Raftaar is indeed scheduled to perform a show in the next month and the payment is supposed to be in Crypto.

This has really opened the doors to a bunch of other opportunities like paying for show tickets via Crypto or making a Crypto Stall at the events to promote Crypto. The possibilities are quite huge and this gets me excited but at the same time a little concerned. I am concerned because of one slight thing which is called the Government of India. The Government of India hasn't been quite open as to where it stands about Crypto so taking Crypto as a means of payment is something that sounds like treading on rough waters for me.

The last thing I would want right now is that a few more artists join this movement but the Government decides to strike it down as the Rules for Crypto are yet to be written down here in India. I am totally loving the idea but I feel like this is not the time for such theatrics as I feel at the current trend it will only lead to further Market Bleeding.
