Why This Bull Run for Bitcoin is Different

avatar

Many people in the space are wondering if this bull run is different than 2017. What happened back in 2017 is we rallied up to $19,600 per BTC in just a few weeks and then quickly corrected back down to $3,500 over the months that followed.

Existing and new investors are worried about this scenario playing out again. A major boom and bust cycle for BTC.

Over the past ~2 months, BTC has seen a meteoric rise from $13k all the way up to now $23k as of today.

Does this mean that we're just sitting around like fish in a barrel.. waiting for a hook to the mouth?

I don't think so and many of the most highly recognized Bitcoin proponents also don't think so.

This bull run is different for so many reasons. Among them, the most convincing is that there is a lot more institutional money in the space.

The space looks radically different today compared to 3 years ago. Now there are institutional buyers like Microstrategy, Paypal and Square. People who are buying millions and even over $1b in the case of MSTR.

This bull run is just getting started. HODL strong as we await the next leg up in this cycle.
