First Bitcoin payout from Bling for playing games on Android Phones

A few days back I wrote an article about playing games on Android phones and earning Bitcoins from it. The main reason why I wanted to try it out was that my father and mother are now fond of playing games on Mobile phones. I thought it would be good to engage them in games that also generate revenue. One good thing about these games is that it is mostly what they would like to play. They wanted to just kill time so why not do it with a small revenue in it.

So, before I give this to my parents, I wanted to give it a try. I tried playing these games in my leisure time for like 2 days and I got almost 2202 Satoshi from playing it. There is a limitation in the game where we are allowed to earn only to a certain extent. After that, we will have to wait for 12 hours in the current game. Bling is the company behind these gaming apps. The gameplay is very simple and for playing the game we get Bling points that can be exchanged for Bitcoins.

We have link our Coinbase address so that they would deposit the coins on our coinbase wallet. After 2 days of playing, I wanted to check if I really get the coins credited to my account or not. They took 24 hours to credit the Bitcoins to the account and coinbase sent me a confirmation email about the same. I know 20 Rs (25 cents) in Indian value is very less for 2 days gameplay, mostly like 10 Rs per day. But for my parents, they are anyway going to spend time playing some games. So getting 300 Rs per month is definitely good for at least a mobile they can do. Of course, there will be lots of transaction charges when we try to convert this to real money. But yeah something is better than nothing.

The amount we can earn by playing this game is a little variable. They have a few sets of parameters they are considering to distribute the Bling points. After I got the credit in my coinbase account, now I will be able to do the next payout only after 7 days. I think that should be okay because now at least I know that this is not a scam and it works.

How do they get benefits out of this?

Before even downloading this application, this was the question that came to my mind. I wanted to first know how it works for them and how they are able to distribute the rewards to the users. Then I found out that for every level we go to, it is mandatory for us to watch an advertisement. That is the major source from which they get all the revenue. So basically they are sharing some of their revenue from the ads with the players. I believe this is a good revenue model and I'm glad that this is legitimate even though the revenue is very poor.

I guess nobody would be able to become rich with this as people will easily lose interest in playing this game after a few days. But one good thing is that if we can hold the bitcoins in the account for a longer period of time and if Bitcoin pumps to a better price, we can reap the benefits in the future.

Atleast it will pay for mobile phone bill. But how they are transacting so small amount (I means fees can be much more than that?)

I also had the same question in my mind. But they are moving the funds only inside coinbase. Internal movement so, no big fees in transaction I guess.

I was a little bit sceptic about this at the beginning but now I'm not. But I would still not dare to do it on my personal phone where I have access to bank accounts and so on. Most likely it would be recommended to have a separate phone used only for this activity since the battery of the phone will become more and more impacted.

Yes true. You can use one of your old phones for this purpose. There are so many similar apps that claim that they pay you for playing games. But this one I found it legitimate. But the number of ads you will end up seeing is the only concern. If you are okay with that, then this is a slow and steady passive income. 😀
