Good evening to everyone . One of the most popular ways of getting BRO is buying them off the market but did you know that we can also get BRO from several other sources ? This post will give you a complete picture .

Different types of tokens on Hive

For those who have been on Hive for a long time now , you know that there are many different types of HE token .

1. Tribe native tokens like LEO , CTP , SPORTS , POB which rewards their user for writing tribe specific content .
2. Mining tokens like LEOM , CTPM which mines the native tokens mentioned in 1 . But note that not all mining tokens mine native tokens itself , there are some miners like LENM and EDSM which mines tokens which aren't native tokens .
3. Investment tokens like BRO , DHEDGE , SPI , LBI , UTOPIS . You buy and hold these and you get dividends / drips daily or weekly .

Number of ways to earn a token

Now the most popular method to earn token on Hive is through posting and curating as we all know .
We can earn tribe native tokens through this method but what about investment token?

BRO

Right now there are three popular ways to get BRO

1. Buy them from the market directly
2. Get BRO dividends everyday by delegating various tokens to @brofi .
3. Earn BRO by investing in some projects which drips BRO everyday .

Let's dive into the data -

Amount of BRO being accumulated daily through the 3 methods mentioned above

This is for past 30 days

Well either by buying from the market or the other 2 methods mentioned - Everyday users are getting BRO in the range of 30-200 per day .

Two days stand out with over 200 BRO .

Same as above but segregated based on source

Blue = BRO bought from the market by users
Orange = From @brofi or others ( 2 and 3 option mentioned above )

The 2 days which had over 200 BRO has significant amount of BRO bought from the market .

Number of unique users buying BRO everyday from the market

This tells us that everyday users are buying BRO .

Number of unique users receiving BRO everyday ( but not buying from market )

This seems huge , everyday over 800 users are getting BRO ?

Well yes that's correct but they are getting very very small amount through drips .

These are the number of users who are getting atleast 0.1 BRO daily

Well this reduces the number a lot but still it's not very less. 35+ users are getting 0.1 BRO everyday .

Proportion of sources

In the past 30 days , 1133 BRO was bought off the market and 1204 BRO was transferred to other accounts .

Note that this might include transfers from one account to another account of same person ( like my main account to alt account ) .

So it would be better to check only the drip project and see how much they have paid out right ?

Source of BRO transfers ? Who is sending BRO to users ?

This gives us what we need , this tells us which projects are sending BRO to maximum number of users .

Note that this is "Number of users" and not "Amount of BRO" . Meaning - @archon-drips has sent BRO to 641 unique users in past 30 days .

The top 4 accounts are Hive projects -

1. @archon-drips - Stake ARCHON / ARCHONM and get dividends
2. @brofi - Delegate to @brofi and earn BRO
3. @dhedge-drips - Hold DHEDGE and get dividends
4. @he-indexrewards - Hold INDEX token and get dividends

The rest are normal account , I checked @hive.pizza , BRO was sent only on 1 day ( as a prize for a contest ) so we can remove the remaining accounts and concentrate on these 3 accounts .

1. Well we saw that the @archon-drips leads the chart by distributing BRO to maximum number of users ( 641 ) in past 30 days but the quantity says 0 ? How is that possible ?

   • Well I checked and the average drip amount of BRO is 0.00000001 . So yeah , the total amount of BRO distributed by @archon-drips is 0.029 in 30 days . Although it distributes to many users , it is in minute amounts . ( Note that Archon drips other tokens along with BRO ) .

1. @brofi does pretty well in both factors - It distributed BRO to 379 unique users in past 30 days and it distributed 442 BRO which is pretty significant amount .
2. Same goes with DHEDGE too , 308 users and 44 BRO .
3. INDEX has distributed 2.8 BRO to 60 unique users in past 30 days .

Proportion ( these 4 accounts )

So 90% of the BRO is distributed through @brofi right now and DHEDGE project also contributes significant portion ( nearly 9%) .

In the first pie chart we saw nearly 1300 BRO transferred but these can be transferred from any account to any other account and not necessarily as dividends but when it comes to these 4 accounts , all the BRO paid out is in the form of dividends .
