Just a heads up about your recent dash time

I got an email from Doordash... pretty crazy to be honest.

"We are reaching out to let you know that last week, you dashed for more than 12 hours in a 24-hour period on:"

We all know I value the flexibility that Dashing provides so I can choose when, where and for how long I earn.

I guess I we are not allowed to work as much as we want, but work around a certain threshold. This is due to the Prop 22 which states, "California law under Prop 22 now requires that you take at least a 6-hour uninterrupted break if you hit this 12-hour threshold in a 24-hour period."

Pretty lame if you ask me, and counter productive.. or maybe the break is needed.

Regardless though looks like I am hustling to the flow of profits.

I think it is also counter productive but I obviously think the Californian government is out of touch with the people.

As a Union stagehand and in this business for 18 years or so when it comes to being on the road and working there's a reason that law is important. We had many union members or even people that work on movie sets in California that work 18 sometimes 72 hours straight and we'll get in the car and drive and fall asleep and die.

A bit different of a situation but still you are driving a heavy machine and sleep deprivation is as bad as being drunk.

With all that being said the government shouldn't be telling us what to do considering that more deaths are caused by direct government intervention overall.

It's just when it comes to heavy machine operating like on public roads this draws attention to key parts of Liberty and freedom. I see some of the most steadfast and reasonable anarchists get stumped by the car situation and government rules.
