Financial Goals 2021 Initiative - Plans

Though 2020 is a crazy year for many it has given a lot of happiness to those associated with Crypto as we have seen Bitcoin rising above 30K USD and finally it's going to break the 40K USD mark (finger crossed) or might be 100K someday. I have read a lot of posts about Financial Goals of 2021, though most of them talked about increasing the stake in Crypto and I think that is actually a great sign because for us millennials the money will double or become 10 times through Crypto and not from some bank deposit.

First of all special thanks to @theycallmedan and @leofinance for this contest, it has given us some insightful posts about financial planning and people should start their financials if they have not done already.

The Goals of 2021 for me are as follows:

1. Do not take a loan - Now a lot of people will argue that this is not financial planning, but for me o for many it is. The loan is a debt and when you have an active loan your financial planning disrupts a lot as because you always think of getting rid of that loan. So my first and foremost planning is not to take a loan in 2021.

2. Increase my Mutual Fund Portfolio by 20% - In 2020 it was a good year for Stocks as some of the stocks gave around 100% returns in 1 year and thus since it's very hard to pick individual stocks it's better to go for Mutual Funds route, so my goal would increase my portfolio by 20%.

3. Increase Emergency Fund - As of now I have an emergency fund of 1-year expense but since I have my ailing parents, I would be thinking of increasing that amount to 1.5 years to be on a safer side, but this will be done after I have done the 2nd point.

4. Taking Term Insurance - I was neglecting this for 4 years after I get married but covid has shown us that life is too unpredictable, so since its a long due I would be completing this for sure in 2021.

5. Investing FIAT in Crypto via SIP - I have done my last major investment in crypto in 2018 but after that, I have not sold or bought from FIAT, though the price seems to be on a higher side I would be keen on investing via FIAT to some ALTS like XLM, HIVE, ADA etc.

Do you have a plan or a set of goals on how to use and grow your stake?

I believe the greater the stake you have you can make more money, so one of my goals would be touching 15000 HP by year end.

My prediction for HIVE in 2021 would be 50c and LEO $1.
