Anyone who is attentive to the recent news about the implementation of a national digital currency (CBDC), knows very well that it will only be a matter of time for the money as we know it to reach its end. I made a post where I say that there will be a G20 meeting in October and one of the topics at this summit will be the digital currency.

It is already known that China is very advanced with this technology and is already testing in three specific regions in your country. But Lithuania took the lead among all European nations in creating its digital currency. The Central Bank of Lithuania launched LBCoin.

But I must emphasize that it will not be a national digital currency, not yet ... The idea is that it is a kind of experiment by the Lithuanian central bank for collectors. LBCoin becomes the first collectible digital currency issued by the central bank in the world. Its blockchain is hybrid as it is formed by the Lithuanian bank's private network to the public NEM blockchain.

There will be a total of 20 collectible coins and each one will represent characters who were responsible for the country's independence on February 16, 1918. Those interested in purchasing the coin must enter the institution's electronic store and make the verification procedure to finally make the purchase. .

The Lithuanian central bank also said that there will be a total of 24,000 tokens, and when the person goes to buy his lot, 6 random tokens will be delivered. The value of the lot is quoted at $ 114, tokens can be transferred to your own wallet, compatible with the public NEM blockchain.

The impacts of what this can bring to the European people will be interesting, because one of the challenges I see is for people to start having their first contacts with a digital currency. The economy, of course, will have to adapt to this novelty in the near future and I do not believe that it will be a great barrier to understanding people, especially for the youngest.
