A Candid Hive Journey Entry #2: Milestone #1
A lot of things can change in a few years. It's no different when it comes to the personalities on the blockchain. I entered Hive on March of 2018. Didn't expect much back then. I goofed around and decided to power up to a minnow. Today, I'm a dolphin twice over.
And that, brought me back to this conversation over two years ago with @tarazkp.
Well, look at us now. I have reached that first realistic milestone of 12.5K HP. Chances are, I will continue to spend some time here and buy/build my way to 25K. Having only 800 HP seems like a long time ago.
Where is @tarazkp now? He's now a bonafide orca who is close to 100K HP. In fact, he could do it right now if he powers up some of the liquid HIVE he has in his wallet.
What's next?
Keep going. I'm going to hang around here until it feels like it's no longer worth it. I didn't convert my STEEM into HIVE, unfortunately. I chose to park them in BTC instead. In a way, I could have reached the 25K goal already, but I chose to diversify.
What would my account look like 2 years from now? Who knows? It could be a pleasant surprise when I look back again. If anything, distribution of HIVE seems to have gotten better over time.
I want to thank @abh12345 for helping me to dig out that specific conversation. I remember having it, but wasn't sure when it took place.
So, to 25K and even 125K+ I go!

Keep plugging away man, we need to continue to build the middle class if this experiment is to survive.
We shall see what the distribution looks like months or a year down the road.
My dream goal was making to 1000 sp when I first got here. Look at me now 🤣

Ha, I remember that comment because of the silly error :)
The numbers sneak up and suddenly, they are significant - it was March 10th 2019 (my birthday) that I crossed 40k and I have bought in a fair amount since.
I was over 100 but took a PD as so far, I have been caught with no liquids far too many times, as I have powered up pretty much everything. I was able to keep trading a bit with fiat, but that isn't possible now with furloughs and renovations.
What I have liked to see and have supported for years, is the growth of the middle class - and it takes more than the amount of HP, it also requires a paradigm shift.

2018 seems so far back. 800 was a fairly good entry point. I entered with 0. Transfered couple hundred SP from my gf at the time then bought in 1500 steem at 1$.
I think ill stick to 10k HP for the time being and diversify. My goal wasnt really a set amount of HP but rather having enough crypto to do some trading and have freedom to test out new things.
10K is not a bad number either.
The tokens roll in over time as long as you are active, I never thought'd I'd be 3/4th of the way to 100k, and now I'm thinking 100k is possible before the year is out.
Did get a bit lucky going for HIVE over BTC and don't blame you for securing some - I haven't, yet.
Onwards!
You should celebrate that milestone when it comes.

You don't know how I understand what are your feelings...
I discovered steem in late 2017 and at the time 'only' managed to hold 1000-1500 STEEM. Lost interest & felt frustrated with all the steemit programmatic selling.
Started DCA'ing again in early 2019. I'm at ~22K HIVE now.
I'm proud & feeling glad, I feel that I have a piece of fertile 'internet' land.
Keep pushing, you'll get there. If you can take profit of the dips (without much fear) you'll reach your objectives faster.

That’s the plan!
Oh my, that is totally crazy. I can remember when I was happy to hit 500 SP and I thought it was going to be so easy to get up to 50k. The climb to 10k took forever and now I am just barely over that in HP. I have a feeling I might hit my 15k goal this year, but 25k is a pipe dream at this point.
Maybe after the correction next bull run.
