Hobby Collecting: First Time Buying Rounds
The other day, I mentioned how I had another silver piece coming. It's the first time I've bought any silver rounds. It caught my eyes because of the Star Wars theme.
Unfortunately, since I don't want to take things out of the bag for the time being, the pictures will do. It seemed comical to have Queen Elizabeth II on one side and Boba Fett on the other. Here's a better picture of the Queen's visage from the APMEX website.
In essence, it's a $2 New Zealand Dollar coin from the island nation of Niue. Look it up, it's a real place. This is an 1-oz silver piece. I got it for a few dollars above the current silver price. So, I thought I got an okay bargain.
Browsing through APMEX's wares, coins with like this tend to go 2-3 times the current spot price for silver. You would have to keep an eye out for decent prices if you don't wish to spend more than you want to. One thing to keep in mind, though, availability is always a limiting factor.
That's it for now.

👍 cool stuff. That series may be a good flip for profit in the future.
I hope so.
I mean, it is like Disney's cash cow franchise by this point.
That is so cool. I may have to pick one up! Is it part of a series?
Not that I’m aware of. But, I have seen similar items that are out of stock on APMEX.
It is a series, I think I only have the Stormtrooper round.
Yes, that coin is a winner. With the way things are going, stacking a little Silver is probably going to be a good idea. So one might as well have fun in doing it. Thanks for sharing Enforcer48.

Pretty much. I’ve recently expanded into fun and unique designs instead of the usual bars.
Very nice Niue coin. You will have ti collect the entire set now, lol! Great addition to your stack, @enforcer48!
Have a great evening, and take care 🥰🌺🤙
I just saw @fat-elvis's comment.
Guess it's time to catch them all.
That is pretty awesome. I really like the Star Wars one. There are going to be some NFT Star Wars cards coming out that I am thinking about trying to pick some up. Probably not as good of an investment as Silver, but oh well!
As long as you are enjoying yourself, the money is well-spent.
