Quick Write into Oblivion

avatar

Well, guess I better spend a little bit less time on Steem for the next week or two. It's tax season! I need to get that finished before the end of the month. I already have all the documents.

The recent struggle on Steem has taken to the next level. I saw some people upset that they weren't able to use their "favorite" services. Okay, some people. I laugh the most at the people who miss their autovoters and leases.

You see, this is why you can't have fun on the platform. Outside of exploitative behaviors, too many people focus on min-max-ing. That is, their allocation of the reward pool. That may be the biggest mental stumbling block that's held meaningful changes back.

It's not the downvotes. It's not the ninja mine. Those are pre-existing conditions. When it all comes down to it, it's not willing to give up their "share" of the reward pool that sustains the stagnation. It's that desire that stalls meaningful changes.

So yeah, while I go get some useful stuff done in real life. You guys continue with your token farming, reward pool allocating, and SP flexing.

I have already done my share of Twitter trolling and witness voting. Take care now.

Hi,

I think a lot of people are here for the blockchain culture--freedom. And a lot of people love to blog, and share what they have created with a dynamic community. And I think meeting people, in a meaningful way, dialoguing with them, is also important to many. I know, because I meet these people here every day.

This is a crypto universe. No getting around that. The trick is not to let the crypto kill the true heart of the community.
