Going Full-On With CubFinance

(Edited)

Finally, some of you will comment.

In retrospect, after your replies under my last post about @cubfinance topic, I decided to up the game.

There was a stash of $BTC sitting lonely at Bittrex, calling me to call it in the action.

The trail (you know I love lists and bullets):

  • send $BTC from Bittrex to Binance,
  • buy $BUSD with $BTC at Binance,
  • send $BUSD from Binance to CubFinance over the BSC chain (no fee here!),
  • swap half of $BUSD to $CUB,
  • add to CUB-BUSD liquidity pool.

Easy, isn't it?

Two issues with this trail:

  • at first, I wanted to buy $BTC at Binance with fiat; yet, I don't have a verified account there and can't deposit fiat,
  • why the heck there is not a $BTC/$BNB pair at Bittrex nor at Binance? fear of competition?

Now, my investment is ten times as big as my first try. $CUB eaned counter is incrementing visibly. It's a good feeling.

I am still an amateur compared to some of you. Yet, it's better than nothing.

Currently, I am vested just in CUB-BUSD LP. No interest for other pools or stakes.

Next?

I'll see how the $CUB earned will rise and compound it on regular basis. Once daily, several times weekly, ...? I'll see how it plays out.

Your turn

What is your investment policy? One pool or more pools and stakes? Regular compounding or as it comes. Regular investments or it depends on ...?

Thank you very much for your input!

In any case and anyway you deal with #defi at @cubfinance -

Good luck!

Hey Ervin, I'm commenting in English as someone can find it interesting as well... I have few stashes on bittrex. My investments are Cardano and still got some SBD as it's going crazy lately, I'm waiting right time to take my actions. Also, I've been reading about CUB lately too, but still can't figure it out to the fullest. Those few transaction of yours: bittrex-->binance, then on cubfinance is still pretty much not familiar to me so I'm still not playing with them. Also I've got some dumb token worth around $100 I bought cause... I don't have any strict reason. I felt it will be good, but has been playing with me few weeks already, I think I'm gonna sell it very soon - one of the dumbest decisions about that token.

Any advice would be nice, if I'm missing something or doing something wrong, also, any advices are welcome.

I can give you any technical advice you wish. Not a financial one, though. I have many dumb token purchases in my history :)

I think that, in my position, the route I took was the most straightforward. Anybody, please, correct me or suggest a better way.

As for your stashes, if you can convert them to BTC and follow my route I can help you with the steps.

At the @cubfinance end, you will need a wallet (MetaMask) with a BSC address. YOu will transfer (probably) BUSD from Binance to CubFinance and to this address. Here you should be careful to choose the BSC chain.

So, ask away :)

Tooooo much unknown stuff. Not even sure where to start, this seems too much for me..

OK, I'll do a step-by-step tutorial, starting with Bittrex BTC. Is that OK?

But not today :)

Sure Ervin! Any quality information is rare and needed. Looking forward for it.

OK. I'll start with the assumption that you have some $BTC and work from there to the #cubfinance pool.

I really think some post to start with for a full beginner would be great. The only thing I own is Bittrex wallet with various coins in there. To be honest, I don't even know how to transact it to fiat (I don't know that because I won't be doing that for 5 years surely). The whole crypto I own was made on Steemit. Never did fiat>crypto / crypto>fiat.

This way this will last for too long and I'll have many questions 😅

Yes, I understand. This tutorial should be in three parts. BTC to BUSD, CunFinance stuff including BSC wallet on MetaMask, fiat part, maybe even more :)

Dobro jutro.

Jutro Ervine,

As a total noob in DeFi world I'm not sure my strategy would make sense. What I'm trying to do is to spread investments between different pools and different platforms with the idea to avoid total loss. For the same reason I don't plan to compound even though I understand that will reduce my profit.
And I'm still a little suspicious towards CUB pools because their high APY is probably associated with bigger risks which I'm not yet aware of

@beco132

I understand your caution. Yet, with CubFinance background and a proven track record, I believe that these stakes are safe.

Notice the use of the word *believe? Unfortunately in the crypto world, everything is about believing and faith. There are no guarantees.

COme to this of this, it's the same in the fiat world. We believe that the government and banks will hold their word :)

We were scammed many times over in the fiat world too. It's just that the ways of scamming are more subtle and take a longer time.

Good luck in any way you choose your stakes to be.

Oh yes I certainly do not think that the Leo team will steal my money. I am afraid of risks which are beyond their control.
For example when I stake to LEO-BNB pool, I know I will lose money if the LEO/BNB price changes - that's the infamous impermanent loss. While the CUB price is stable that loss is no big deal as the rewards are paid in CUB. Or if the CUB goes down while LEO/BNB keeps stable - well I won't get rewards but at least my initial deposit will be safe. But what if I'm in CUB/BUSD pool and CUB price changes - to my understanding this will lead to impermanent loss in the pool in all cases. It might be compensated with higher rewards if the price is moving up, but going down would be really bad.
Well at least one thing is guaranteed here - I have no idea how DeFi works :) But I'm having fun finding out, even at the price of being scammed sometimes

You know you can do a simple path...

Use crypto.com to influx fiat.... then move into a cheap coin that has low fees... move it to binance and go from there...

or...

If you are HIVE... move LEO directly... =)

Thanks for your input.

I am not a crypto.com user - yet. Maybe your comment will push me in their lap.

I'll do a bit of research. Thanks again.
