Is Cub Finance (CUB) safe?

Cub Finance (CUB) is one of the safest Binance Smart Chain DeFi platforms to invest in.

‘Crypto’ and ‘trust’ are two words that shouldn’t need to go together.

We’re in this space because we no longer want to trust scummy human beings who will inevitably screw anyone and everyone over for personal gain.

Blockchains and the advent of smart contracts mean that we are no longer required to trust anyone to hold or facilitate the transaction of OUR money.

But…

A lot of us are also degenerate gamblers who are happy to take on a little more risk for the promise of MUCH greater returns.

Hello DeFi!

A banner for the safe DeFi platform - Cub Finance (CUB).

The problem with DeFi however, is the fact that we’re once again trusting a third party which is in this case, the platform and code behind the inflationary token behind the system

In this section of our Cub Finance (CUB) guide, we uncover what sets this project apart from the crowd and why it’s one of the only safe Binance Smart Chain based DeFi platforms.

In DeFi, should be your number 1 priority

So what is it that really makes Cub Finance different from the rest of the DeFi platforms on Binance Smart Chain?

The difference here is purely the team that is behind the Cub Finance platform.

The majority other DeFi platforms built on Binance Smart Chain, are built by groups of anonymous devs and whales who get together to ultimately take advantage of your average crypto degen’s high-risk tolerance.

...and low intelligence.

Harsh, but it’s the hard truth.

BSC based yield farming is pretty much rug pull and scam central, yet day after day, the masses lap up the next big thing because as long as you’re not the last one out, the returns are just too good.

When it comes to choosing a DeFi platform to invest your hard-earned into, safety should be your number one priority and Cub Finance delivers where it matters.

Within the high risk, high reward DeFi space, The LeoFinance backed Cub Finance platform is as safe as you’re going to get.

The LeoFinance team has EARNED the community’s trust

That’s right, the team behind Cub Finance is the exact same team behind the LeoFinance community on the Hive blockchain.

A nearly 3 year old crypto community project, with a proven track record of safety, trust and value adding apps built in the blockchain space.

As a part of the community ourselves for each of those 3 years, we can vouch for the fact that the LeoFinance team has well and truly earned the community’s trust.

Headed up by Khaleel Kazi, the LeoFinance and Cub Finance teams are highly transparent.

Whether you tag the team on the LeoFinance blogging platform or head into the tech-support channel on the community’s Discord, Khal and the team are visible and accessible.

Just what is required when it comes to building trust in a DeFi platform.

General DeFi platform risks still apply

But while it’s all well and good to know that the team is highly unlikely to rug pull you, there are of course some other safety risks you must understand before investing in Cub Finance (CUB) or staking assets on the platform.

DeFi risks such as:

  • Impermanent loss: If the price of your deposited assets in duel asset pools wildly change in relation to each other, your position won’t maintain its overall dollar value.

You can limit impermanent loss by only entering pools containing assets that remain in a relatively small price range such as stablecoins.

Always weigh up your expected long term profits from yield and whether this outweighs your exposure to short term impermanent loss.

  • Platform hacks: When it comes to platform hacks, there’s only so much you as an investor can do to protect yourself.

Cub Finance has been favourably audited by CertiK, but as we see via the mainstream crypto media, things go wrong every day.

Make sure you’re comfortable with your level of risk on the BSC based Cub Finance and if you’re not, then consider safer alternatives such as staking your assets on Hive.

  • Losing your keys: If you don’t possess the personal responsibility required to secure your private keys, then the safest DeFi platform in the world isn’t going to save you.

Ensure you ALWAYS have your private keys and access wallets safe and secure.

If something goes wrong from this perspective, you only have yourself to blame.

Ultimately, you can trust Cub Finance (CUB)

In the simplest terms, yes Cub Finance (CUB) is safe to use and invest in.

Cub Finance brings reputation and long-term thinking to a space that lacks both.

CUB is the perfect base layer to build sophisticated smart contract applications on the Binance Smart Chain, all while feeding value back into the LeoFinance community.

Hopefully, this section of our guide to Cub Finance (CUB) has instilled a level of trust in the platform and native CUB token.

Best of probabilities to you.

I would love to get into this one day - but right now the research required to learn about yield farming would simply be too time consuming :( ... Are there any other options for investing in Cub that are simpler?

Yes there is the CubLife token released by the LBI team. It will do all the investing for you and return you LEO every week.
The latest weekly report can be found here.

As jfang pointed out, CubLife is a great option for that.

In the meantime, you can check out the posts by @jerrythefarmer

He has a lot of experience in yield farming and regularly writes about it here on LeoFinance

In a word No.

Cub Defi is about as simple as it gets!

A great option too, trustworthy team.

I'll definitely second jfang's suggestion of CubLife being the easiest way to gain exposure to Cub yield farming, without having to actually set yourself up on BSC.

But...

In saying that, I highly recommend you take the time to learn how to set up MetaMask and access the Cub Finance platform yourself.

I know it looks super intimidating on the surface, but the tutorials within the official Docs section are detailed and easy.

You certainly wont regret setting up a further passive income stream once you're earning those precious cubbies!.

Is there a way to do it without metamask? A friend had a bad experience with it

I would highly recommend MetaMask and following the tutorials in the official docs section that I linked to above.

But if you insist on going a different path, I'm fairly sure you can connect to Cub Finance using Trust Wallet.

Just Google 'cub finance trust wallet' and there are a few alternate tutorials published on LeoFinance.

I think it's definitely one of the safest Defi platforms out there and I trust the LeoFinance team.

The LeoFinance team have been fully transparent and available from the very beginning.

They've definitely earned our trust.

ALso, thanks for sharing the CubLife angle in the comment below.

The perfect answer to that question :)

Cub finance is definitely safe, BSC just comes with certain amount of risks.

However, there's always a reason for anyone to invest, just have to go with the usual investment guidelines.

Yep, the BSC network risk is an angle that I overlooked in this section of the guide.

We've already talked about how centralised Binance Smart Chain is within our guide to BNB, but I'll be sure to make sure there's a section here too.

Give everyone the full picture then it's up to them where they put their hard-earned :)

Trust was exactly the reason why I jumped in right away!

Hope it wasn't too early, or you've at least somewhat lessened the blow of a falling CUB price by doubling down and accumulating more.

At least we know the upcoming IDOs have the potential to cause a real supply side shock for CUB.

Now it's going to be up to the team's marketing efforts to generate some demand to go along with it.

The perfect storm is brewing for a huge CUB price rip, but whether it will actually happen is a whole other story.

Firstly, I don't know personally any of the team members in CubFinance... Secondly, if we are talking about being scammed by the owners, I can't have more trust in any other project than CubFinance... When they have started, they got hacked and they have returned ALL investments of their members... And some of that amount was from their pockets... They have bought me (and a lot of others Hivers) by doing that...

But, as @badbitch said, the BSC blockchain itself has its own risks that are outside the power of the CubFinance team... We have to remind ourselves that risk exists for EVERY DeFi on that chain...

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project and it will be highlighted in the next post!

Yep, the team bought themselves a ton of good will within the community after this.

But just to be clear, this was an issue with wLEO on Ethereum and had nothing to do with bLEO or the Cub Finance platform itself on BSC.

As for the BSC network risk, yep you're right that it was an aspect we've overlooked so far within this guide.

I'll make sure it gets included.

Yes, while DeFi on BSC is kind of a cesspool, I'd say Cub Finance is pretty trustworthy.

I think I called BSC based yield farming 'pretty much rug pull and scam central' in the post, haha.

Harsh, but the network's reputation precedes it.

Cub Finance doing its best to be as open and transparent as it can.

Really bucking the trend.

Safety first! That's why I am in CubDefi. As you say, it's all about the people behind the project. I read an article not too long ago about someone searching hundreds of defi projects to learn who the people were behind them. He came back with the incredible fact that 90-95% of all defi projects have unknown leadership behind them. Is it any wonder there are rug pulls every week?!? It's hard to go after someone when you don't even know who they are.

The LeoFinance team has been front and center for over 3 years now. They actively engage with the community through AMA's, podcasts, blogging, twitter, and also their Discord channel. If there's a problem, they are there to address it. There's no question they want to make money doing this, but they want to do it with the community, not because of it. As another commenter pointed out, there WAS a hack over a year ago on a LEO project. Not only did they stand and face the music, they actually made everyone whole again. Those are the kind of people you want leading your project.

The other reason I think this is one of the safest defi projects out there is because they keep developing. They are constantly innovating and looking for new ways to enhance the value of the CUB token and with it, the entire LeoFinance community. Their development never stops. They continuously monitor how their projects are performing and if they need to make changes, they do. Transparently. Let me say that again: transparently. They are not trying to pull anything behind the scenes. Rather, they take input from the community and their own observations and are constantly working to improve the platform and the opportunities related to it.

Most of these other defi projects just design something, hit a button, and then they're gone. CubDefi and the LeoFinance team stand behind their project and are constantly working to improve it. As everyone knows, technology does not stand still. The LeoFinance team continues to be on top of what's out there and is constantly innovating new and better ways to earn their investors money.

I've been in other defi projects. Nothing compares to CubDefi as far as confidence and safety. The returns just happen to be pretty spectacular too...

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts in detail as always, Dagger.

This comment is a section of the guide in itself and shows how strongly the team has the support of our community.

Love it :)

I agree,

100% safe as long as you avoided the carnage that was Cake Pop!

Ah, Cake Pop...

But to be fair, the IDO itself went off without a hitch.

Cub Finance helped them raise money to launch, but there's just nothing there.

Cake Pop is the dud here, not Cub Finance.

Oh yes absolutely.

I guess what I'm saying is that not all the pools are a safe option for a return on your investment.

IDO2 is screwed now right? i mean i'm going nowhere near it!
