A few days ago there was a situation that damaged in an interesting way one of the most solid companies nowadays and that can be said to be important in the portfolios of those who have stocks that generate dividends, which is Coca Cola, and what happened was a simple reaction of Cristiano Ronaldo towards the bottle of this company.

What happened more specifically is that Cristiano rejected a bottle of Coca-Cola when he was being filmed and said this phrase, "Water, not Coca-Cola", and this went viral for many reasons, among which were the people who said that athletes should not consume this type of beverages and other similar situations, with which I agree, but I also remember that Cristiano is a great investor and became the visible face of the controversial company called Herbalife, so it seems to me a great hypocrisy what he did.

After giving my personal touch to this article, it is time for us to look objectively at other things, which is the way this situation hurt the company's shares, being that it has dropped 1% yesterday and another 1% today, and this seems to be something insignificant when we compare it with the 50% that cryptos can drop, but let's also remember that these are shares that usually do not vary much, so 1% for an event like this means a lot.

It is something similar to what happened with Elon Musk and Bitcoin, being that a tweet triggered a major downward movement, and this is where we really see the power of people who move millions of people in the world, either to favor an asset as well as to harm it.

This makes it somewhat problematic to invest in the short term because we do not know when a person we do not know and who moves many followers through social networks has an attack of impulsivity and makes a tweet or simply has a gesture in an interview that can make us lose money because we were leveraged in that asset.

And on the other hand we must take into consideration that Bitcoin has been Bitcoin without Elon Musk, so no matter what he says or anyone else says, those of us who know about cryptocurrencies are going to take the opportunity to accumulate more, and this same happened with Coca-Cola since no matter what Cristiano says, this company is still solid and is still among the best in terms of sales worldwide, and this is not going to change because of someone who has fame in social networks.

Hace pocos días hubo una situación que perjudico de forma interesante a una de las empresas más sólidas en la actualidad y que se puede decir que es importante en los portafolios de quienes tengan acciones que generen dividendos, que es Coca Cola, y lo que ocurrió fue una simple reacción de Cristiano Ronaldo hacia la botella de esta empresa.

Lo que ocurrió más específicamente es que Cristiano rechazo una botella de Coca-Cola cuando lo estaban filmando y dijo esta frase, “Agua, no Coca-Cola”, y esto se hizo algo viral por muchas razones, dentro de las cuales estaban las personas que decían que los deportistas no deben consumir este tipo de bebidas y otras situaciones parecidas, con lo cual estoy de acuerdo, pero también recuerdo que Cristiano es un gran inversor y llego a ser la cara visible de la empresa polémica llamada Herbalife, por lo que me parece una gran hipocresía lo que hizo.

Luego de darle mi toque personal a este artículo, es hora de que veamos de forma objetiva otras cosas, que es la forma en que esta situación perjudico a las acciones de la empresa, siendo que ha bajado 1% ayer y otro 1% hoy, y esto parece ser algo insignificante cuando lo comparamos con los 50% que pueden bajar las criptos, pero recordemos también que estas son acciones que no suelen variar mucho, por lo que 1% por un evento como este significa mucho.

Es algo parecido a lo que ocurrió con Elon Musk y Bitcoin, siendo que un twit desencadeno un movimiento bajista importante, y es aquí donde realmente vemos el poder que tienen las personas que mueven millones de personas en el mundo, ya sea para favorecer un activo como también para perjudicarlo.

Esto hace que sea algo problemático invertir a corto plazo porque no sabemos cuándo una persona que no conocemos y que mueva a muchos seguidores por las redes sociales tenga un ataque de impulsividad y haga un twit o que simplemente tenga un gesto en una entrevista que pueda hacernos perder dinero porque estábamos apalancados en ese activo.

Y por otro lado debemos tomar en consideración que Bitcoin ha sido Bitcoin sin Elon Musk, por lo que no importa lo que él diga o cualquier otra persona diga, los que sabemos sobre las criptomonedas vamos a tomar la oportunidad de acumular más, y esto mismo ocurrió con Coca-Cola ya que no importa lo que diga Cristiano, esta empresa sigue siendo sólida y sigue siendo de las mejores en cuanto a ventas a nivel mundial, y esto no va a cambiar por alguien que tiene fama en las redes sociales.
