As the dollar weakens, the remaining assets strengthen / Mientras el dolar se debilita, el resto de activos se fortalece

English

The title of the article may seem logical, but it is because I want to tell you some important data that may be of great interest if we want to better analyze the situation in which we currently find ourselves.

Through these last months we have seen how some stocks have managed to make historical highs, and others have barely been able to recover from the March crash, while on the side of commodities we see how Gold has managed to make historical highs and Silver is on the same path, which also happened in the crypto (they have managed to make annual highs) and we can currently see how they are in a clear bullish trend.

Although in the case of the crypto we have that the Halving has occurred, which is a very important fundamental to understand the dynamics between supply and demand, there is also another external variable that we must analyze, which is precisely the weakness of the dollar against other assets.

It is evident and logical that the dollar has been devaluing in comparison with the rest of the assets (when bitcoin rises, the dollar weakens, and when bitcoin falls, the dollar strengthens) we have to see the market in general in a more global way, since this case can be different from the one in which some specific stocks are rising, while others are falling (negative correlation), but in this case we can see a positive correlation in the majority of the assets and this should indicate something macroeconomic.

This is the DXY index graph, which refers to the strength of the dollar against other currencies.

We can see how the dollar had a peak in March (right at the time of the crash, which refers to a sudden strengthening of the dollar), while we are currently in a clear downward trend (this refers to a weakening of the dollar against other currencies in general), which can be justly related to the rise of the different assets.

This graph must be analyzed along with the rest of the fundamentals in which we are currently in, such as the printing of money to cope with the effects of the pandemic and the expectation of better returns on other assets (exchange of dollars for gold, silver, bitcoin, etc).

At this time we must take more global interpretations of the market as assets may behave differently depending on which will rise more or fall less, so a short in a more stable situation will be represented by a smaller rise in these conditions.

In summary, we must be careful with shorts at this time
