A bet with my Wife - Is $CUB Real Money?
Hey All;
Yesterday; my wife saw my laptop screen with $CUB To Harvest in dollar amount showing close to $30 dollars. The dollar amount was increasing/refreshing every couple of seconds & she noticed iT. The immediate question that she asked me was::
Is this $CUB Real Money?
Without a doubt, I said - "YES" it's real money. But she was hesitant to believe iT. And said if this is real money then show me at least $500 taken out and the same reflected in your bank account.
I tried explaining to her by giving many examples; that Yes it's real money. I further went on to explain that how I can convert these $CUB being earned daily. But all in vain as she said that she will only understand when she sees the fiat; INR equivalent to $500 in my bank account.
Finally; I had no option and I agreed that I'll in the next seven days will be accumulating all the $CUBs earned. Normally, I reinvest all the $CUBS earned on a daily basis. But for this bet with my wife, I'm going to accumulate worth $500 of CUBs to exchange for BNB and then trade in Indian exchange for INR fiat.
Based on my rough calculations and the $CUBs that I harvest daily. I guess that I should be able to earn close $500 in 7 days of time. Actually, it would be less but on the safer side I told her that it would take me 8 days to prove to her that - Yes all $CUBs earned/harvested is Real money. Nothing here on Cubdefi is Virtual. Though it's a virtual currency and if a person wants they can convert it to their desired fiat currency.
What if I WIN the Bet?
I asked her; what if I WIN? And I'm able to move worth $500 of $CUBs to my bank account. The answer was that I get a new mobile phone. It's been a long time that I upgraded my mobile and to be honest, my current mobile screen also has a lot of scratches and can any time go down. I thought this a fair deal and immediately agreed. The budget that she gave is close to Rs.20K+ INR. which I think is sufficient to get me a good Android phone.
Today is the first day of bet and I already have close to $85+ worth of $CUB harvest. By the 6th of May, I need to show $500 being credited to my bank account and if I'm able to do so then I WIN else I Lose the bet.
I'm pretty confident that I'll WIN the bet. And at times, you need to showcase to people the real value of DeFi & especially CubDeFi. And I get this opportunity by accepting the challenge from my wife and show to her that $CUB is no virtual but is REAL MONEY
What I plan to do with $500 earned with $CUB harvesting
This is a closing note of this blog post - A bet with my Wife - Is $CUB Real Money? The simple answer is that I'm going to spend all $500. Actually; I've already planned as to how I'm going to spend these $500; here is the plan::
$400 worth of gifts for the family; it's been a long time that I didn't buy them gifts.. so will be doing a gift distribution round.
$100 worth of buying medicines & distributing to all social staff in my apartment [these medicines are generally going to Vitamin C tablets that I heard is good to have to keep ones immunity strong]
I'll be revisiting this post on the 6th of May 2021 with an update:: as to who won the Bet. This is a real story so stay tuned to know the results of the bet.

It's good to take the money out once in a while and spend it to remind ourselves that it is real. If it spreads cheer to friends and family then all the better :)

Couldn't you prove your point with just $100 and let the other $400 compound so that you may get more in the future. Either way you seem to be making a lot from it and sometimes we deserve to enjoy some of the returns from our investments.

Yes; I could prove with $100 as well.. but when you get $500 the feeling altogether is different. ANd more over you have a good amount of cash to spend as well. cheers

Thanks buddy.. Yes; I'm like 100% confident that I'll WIN.. Only the hurdles will be a lot of transfer of tokens.. i.e.
$CUB -> BNB -> Sending to Indian Exchange -> Trade BND -> Withdraw INR...

The only thing that. Others me is that it’s a long process to convert the tokens to Fiat and I hope this will improve in the future.

It must be something terrible as any good husband should let his wife win at times (you still can).
Right, a good husband should let his wife win. :-) But in this case my wife also wants me to WIN as this is going to be a new experience of a passive earning which showcases its Real and not that all Virtual. cheers

Its one the hesitations about the general public about it. But using $500 for your family and friends doesn't seem so bad. It does suck that you have to eat the transaction fees to get everything done since the spread on crypto tend to be bad. I wish I earned $500 a week but I plan on adding in slowly to my CUB position starting next month.
