Hive Goals For 2021

Setting goals and objectives are important for a variety of reasons. From goal setting in business to setting goals in life, goal setting allows for us to focus our energies to be the most efficient and productive. Some of you might think it's weird to set goals for 2021 when I'm currently powering down, but to have specific goals are important and I'm sure it will help me throughout the remainder of this year.

A specific goal does not take you around in circles; it puts you on a direct course of action, and even though it's difficult to set specific goals for the things I want, it will still make things easier moving forward. It's also a good idea to write your goals, as the process of writing your goals helps you clarify what you desire to do, understand the importance of pursuing them and commit yourself to making them happen.

These are key ingredients to be successful and that is obviously necessary for me to ever achieve my long term goal on Hive. I want to change my life. I am positive about the fact that there is enough potential on Hive- and that Hive gives me a superb opportunity to do that, so I need goals and milestones.

My primary Hive goals for 2021 is to have:

  • 10K Hive.
  • 10K LEO.

I am talking about having these amounts staked and powered up because I am eager to get more over time, but not only that. I am eager to do more for others over time as well, and the stronger you are, the easier it gets. The more power you have, the more things you can do. It doesn't automatically mean that you will, because we have a lot of users here who seems to ignore literally everything- and everyone besides themselves. Regardless of their stakes. - That's not me though.

I think my history of actions speaks for themselves and it should be clear that I am far from greedy or selfish. I donate tokens, have giveaways and put in a lot of effort to encourage, inspire and motivate others and I have often focused on the "little guys". I want to have a strong foundation and I truly believe that it will all start with having more power spread among the smaller users. A good distribution of tokens is vital for our success and that is why many most of my projects and initiatives have been focused on the lesser accounts. I want to empower others.

However, I am more likely to have impact if I have power and even though I previously, years ago, was trying to get a decent deal on a delegation from a large stakeholder, times have changed. People doesn't seem to be as interested in doing this today, even though I don't have any exact statistics for that claim. It's just a personal feeling I have, and I guess much of that is due to the excellent ROI we get for delegating to various curation accounts, like @leo.voter.

This simply means that I need to grow bigger and stronger by myself, one token at the time. I will obviously buy tokens in the near future so I grow quicker, but most of this will take time and effort. That's why I need to have these goals in mind at all times. I need them there, in the back of my head.

Goals of having 10.000 Hive and 10.000 LEO at the end of the year 2021 is not the only thing I want to achieve though. I am aiming for more things than that, but those are slightly different goals. I am eager to see what #proofofbrain can "bring to the table" so to speak, and as #POB seems very interesting and promising so far, my goal is to have 2500 POB staked at the end of the year, if POB continues to deliver and look promising throughout the year.

Other goals is more like "stepping stones", as I want to make at least 100 comments per week, for the entire year. That equates to 14.28 comments per day. Something that should be doable regardless of how limited my time might be. Especially as I can utilize the daily @leomarkettalk posts to increase the amount of comments I make rather rapidly.

I also want to rank more of my Hive/LeoFinance/POB-content on google and other search engines to increase the overall organic traffic. So, I will basically produce more evergreen content during these last couple of months of 2021, but with more eyeballs towards Hive, I also want to do something to retain the users that jumps in..

That is something that is still a "work in progress" and I haven't figured all the things out yet, but I am likely to use my experience, "influence" and history on Hive in an attempt to encourage and retain users as well, because that is something we truly need. We need to focus on the newcomers and we have to put in effort to keep people here. We want people to stay once they arrive, so we need to pave the way for others, set a new standard and get people to follow in our footsteps.

Everyone has to become a role model and a user who leads by example in one way or another. This means combined efforts on our journey to new heights.

  • These are some of my Hive goals for 2021.

I think having a commenting goal is a nice thing to add. Though I think it would be hard for me since I already comment a bunch and adding more to that sometimes just isn't feasible with time.

I guess it would be near impossible for you to set a goal for comments, lol. You're already killing it so a goal with less comments than you produce would be the only logical thing.

Those are some great thoughts and some really cool goals. I think setting goals is an important step when you are on this platform. It helps to drive you and keeps you active. 100 comments a week should be totally do-able. I agree with you, the Leo Talk posts make it so easy to engage like that. Plus you don't need to read a 2000+ word post just to comment!

Man, you are doing a lot for this platform. Setting the right expectations and creating a healthy culture that will flourish on its own if people would take inspiration from your actions.

All the very best! I wish you to achieve these goals and even go beyond that.

I also want to rank more of my Hive/LeoFinance/POB-content on google and other search engines to increase the overall organic traffic. So, I will basically produce more evergreen content during these last couple of months of 2021,

This is what the platform needs from everyone. If we try our best to continue producing valuable, searchable content, more outsiders will join for sure. Marketing is the biggest pain point of Hive and this way we can generate lots of traffic on all these frontends.

but with more eyeballs towards Hive, I also want to do something to retain the users that jumps in..

In my opinion, this is what we should focus on the most now. We cannot lose talent, in fact we need more people doing what you are trying to do here. Just to let you know, this is also my goal with this platform. I want to help out noobs with their journey. Teaching people MORE about this platform is the best self-serving charity we can do.

Thank you very much, I truly appreciate it. I hope I'm doing something good, for all of us, and that everyone will benefit a bit by the things I have done. That would be awesome.

I want to help out noobs with their journey.

I think that's great and I totally agree with you. It's extremely important to keep the users here so everyone should put in some extra effort doing this.
