Let's Talk & Win! - Boosting Engagement With Random Winners
You might have heard about the Daily Leo Talk, which is a place to start conversations, posts charts, memes, trades, or anything else that comes to mind. The Leo Talk posts are a superb way to boost our overall numbers and a great way to stimulate engagement.
I figured I would do something different though, so I came up with the idea of rewarding people with LEO for comments in an attempt to boost engagement on my own posts.
Here's the thing, I love engagement and I think that is a vital ingredient for a success platform. That is the reason I was active and involved in #initiative10. The daily Leo Talk posts are different though, and even though I support- and like the idea of those posts, I still don't think that the results from these posts are reflecting a truly living and active community because it's one post out of hundreds of posts that gets a lot of engagement. I want to move some of that engagement elsewhere, and figured I could move it towards my own content instead, if people where up for it.
This is what I came up with:
I will randomly select 10 winners that each will get 1 LEO and the only thing they have to do is to comment on any of my posts. I prefer to see comments on my posts that haven't paid out and I will obviously not count any form of spam or troll comments.
The goal of this is to have an on-going contest, so I will send the prizes twice per week, with the first set to be sent on Wednesday 2021-04-07. The remaining 5 LEO will be sent on Sunday 2021-04-11.
So, here's basically a chance for anyone to get an extra 1 LEO for doing what you're already doing.. This time, you'll just have to do it on my articles. On top of that, I will also upvote comments like I always do, so regardless if you win or not, you will at least earn something for your contributions.

That's nice. I feel that my posts engagement is a bit poor lately. I've probably become dull with my content.

I think it's fairly common for us to see "lack of engagement" due to the "nature" of Hive. I also think that people are actively waiting for projectblank as well with having the daily Leo Talk-post to engage with, so a bunch of people are probably already getting their "fair share of engagement" through those posts.
Who knows, this might be a solution, or at least a way to spark some more engagement. We'll see how it goes. :)

That is awesome. I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but I hope this will help to increase the engagement on my posts, while increasing the overall engagement elsewhere with time as well.

I think this is a great initiative. I always try to respond to comments on my own posts but I haven't really made many posts besides Actifit. The @leomarkettalk thread is booming in activity recently.

The daily leo market posts are awesome in terms of engagement, but I want to take some of that engagement elsewhere, which is the reason for this on-going contest. Hopefully, with time, it will spread engagement even further across other content as well.

Yea that makes sense. I tend to have around half or more of my daily LeoFinance comments over there. It's hard to keep up with everything so I tend to read most posts in my own feed and check the community feed maybe a few times a week.

I can totally understand that most of the engagement is within those posts and to see the increasing number of comments is really cool & awesome. I just wish that some of that engagement goes elsewhere, so more content creators can experience the awesome feeling of getting comments and discussions on the content they create. That's a superb reward for any content creator out there.

We keep the engagement level pretty high over on LeoMarketTalk and I'd be interested to see how this turns out for you. Who knows? It might just spark an Engagement Tsunami throughout LeoFinance itself! :)

I have always admired your tenacity in both helping newbies and stimulating activity... I'm right there with you on the importance of engagement; the more the better! Things seem to have been a little dead recently... perhaps because everyone is too preoccupied with looking at the green candles on their trading charts to remember why we are really here!

Thanks, that means a lot. I'm just trying to identify myself with newbies and I'm trying to pave the way for others if and when I can. Not a big deal actually, even though it's really, really exhausting at times. lol :D
