The statistics within this post is taken from Semrush, and as I happen to get a weekly report that is called: Organic Research: Positions, and as I am in favor of the whole optimized content thing, I figured I'd let you in on some juicy details.

This report contains:

  • Organic Search: Positions 1-10
  • Volume
  • CPC (USD)
  • Traffic %

Amongst some other things, but these are the ones I think is the most important. At least for now. I can also tell you that the Traffic cost has been an estimated price of $64 for organic keywords in Google AdWords, but none of the top 10 keywords have used any CPC.

These are the 10 keywords that brings most traffic to LeoFinance.io, and each keyword point directly towards the article on LeoFinance as well. Feel free to take a look.

Not sure if @forexbrokr is interested in this, but I'll tag him as he is interested in SEO and organic traffic as well. Oh, and btw. I can also tell you that 378 keywords is the number of keywords bringing users to the website via Google's top 100 organic search results.

  • Do people believe in organic traffic now?

Andrei Jikh Portfolio

The fact that "andrei jikh portfolio" is the search term that brings in the most traffic shows the balance we as a young domain need to find.

While you may think that millions more people would be searching for 'how to buy bitcoin' or whatever other common terms you can think of, there's just too much competition for us to rank.

But on a niche as fuck keyword like andrei whatsit, we can get on the front page of Google and drive organic traffic to our domain.

Let's consolidate our position

With 10 results per page of Google, @schubes Andrei Jihk portfolio post is currently sitting 10th.

1 more spot and it's off the first page and will most probably see a 90% drop in traffic to that page.

So let's try and consolidate our position!

To do this, we need to do 2 things:
1: Update the post that already ranks: Google prioritises new content.

So as we already rank, let's update this post.

I have already written 1000 words of relevant andrei jikh portfolio content on this read only Google Doc - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Dv9g3IX23wfG4PHXYfcgOGxtjO3CNrDreiFX6nrBVEQ/edit?usp=sharing

All we need is for @schubes to simply copy/paste it in.

2: Link to the post: External domains, other leofinance.io blogs, just write a new Andrei Jikh Portfolio post and link to Schube's post that already ranks.

You're not try to steal his thunder here, you're just trying to tell Google that he's an expert on the topic.

By doing these 2 things, we can try to consolidate our position on the front page of Google for the search term andrei jikh portfolio and hopefully move up a few places in the process.

Come on guys, we need to defend this one.

So a post about Andrew linked back to Schubes?
If we add new content to a comment on that post will it help?

use ahrefs, the data there is better IMO. Semrush was years ago ok, but the data is IMO inaccurate most time. Its like you look on alexa for keyworkds.

Niche niche niche! there's opportunity for sure..

Can you try doing a content gap analysis on SEM rush looking at a site like seekingalpha? I think this needs to be combined with a content audit of leofinance in order to build a content strategy.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is so important. Be it for blogs or video. It is sort of like what I experienced growing up in a large family trying to get the attention of my foster-parents.

On the HIVE blockchain we try to get the attention of the larger staking accounts. It is difficult and we are a very small platform of users in comparison with other social media platforms. Therefore; it is much harder to gain the attention outside of HIVE?

For this reason I want to thank folks like you, @forexbrokr, and others that are doing your best to educate on the importance of employing simple techniques to optimize blog posts.

Just keep in mind that driving organic traffic via SEO is completely different to earning rewards from the Hive blockchain.

Hive rewards come from the blockchain level, while all SEO cares about is the leofinance.io domain.

Google doesn't understand or care about our blockchain, just how our front-ends display content.

Gencoin Real

Hey @edicted,

So your Startup Gencoin post ranks P16 (that's page 2) for the high volume search term of 'gencoin startup'.

But it also ranks P6 (page 1 where you want to be), for the lower volume search term of 'is gencoin real'.

Would you be down for taking some time to optimise that old post in order to solidify/move up your Google ranking?

What you could do to consolidate our ranking:

  1. Edit that post and add some new content with the following 3 keyword variations in both subheadings and the text: 'gencoin price', 'gencoin startup' and 'is gencoin real'
  2. Then create a brand new post on the topic of Gencoin and link to the first one that already ranks under relevant anchor text.
  3. Finally share some links to your first post on other domains like Quora, other blogs, whatever else you have accounts or connections to.

If you want me to help you with the content, let me know.

Here are some stats and links:

Your post with most traffic from Google:

High volume keywords to target:

  • gencoin - 1K – 10K monthly searches in US
  • gencoin price - 1M – 10M monthly searches in US
  • gencoin startup - 10 – 100 monthly searches in US

Current Google rankings:

  • gencoin startup - P16
  • is gencoin real - P6
  • gencoin price - NA

I would love to see some stats for my posts. Do you have any idea how to see them @hitmeasap? Will Semrush work?

Check out the LeoFinance Simple Analytics page.

Just search your username in the 'pages' section underneath the graph and you can see which of your posts drive the most traffic.

As we're trying to drive ongoing organic traffic from Google, click the Google referral filter and we see that you had:

Let's dig a little deeper on each just by doing some Googling ourselves.

Guide | How to Transfer from BSC to Polygon (MATIC)

I've tried Googling a ton of keyword variations for the transferring BSC to polygon, but can't find it.

However, if I Google: 'How to Transfer from BSC to Polygon'

The P0 featured snippet is a copy/paste onto your Publish0x blog...

Screen Shot 20210702 at 10.49.27 am.png

This is a prime example of how traffic (and eyes on our ads) that should be ours, is now on Publish0x.

The leofinance.io domain is younger and in the Google algo's eyes, has a low reputation.

If you truly want to help LeoFinance, and the value of the LEO token long term, you need to stop duplicating your content onto other domains.

Why I stopped playing Upland

You rank on Google for:

  • playing upland - P31 (that's page 3)
  • why stop playing upland - P2 (page 1)
  • should i stop playing upland - P7 (page 1)
  • why i stopped playing upland - P1

While the first one probably has more search volume, the fact you rank on page 1 for the other terms is most likely where the traffic is coming from.

What you could do to consolidate our ranking:

  • Edit that post and add some new content with upland keyword variations in both subheadings, the text and the image alt tag (that's between the [] brackets where you describe the image).
  • Then create a brand new post on the topic of Upland and link to the first one that already ranks under relevant anchor text.
  • Finally share some links to your first post on other domains like Quora, other blogs, whatever else you have accounts or connections to. NOT COPY PASTING THIS CONTENT

If you want me to help you with the content, let me know.

This was an amazing and useful analysis.
Yep, Publish0x has more popularity and this is a good example of how Google search works. Since Publish0x reduced tipping to half, I'll stop posting there.

Didn't know my Upland post had that many views from google. Definitely, I'll write another post.

Thanks, @forexbrokr, I've learned a lot of things from this, it will help me to make better decisions in the future for benefit of this community.

No worries, I'm glad it helps.

Remember that since that post ranks, the best thing you can do is edit and add content to that post.

Subheadings with the keywords etc.

You wont get upvotes because it's a month old post, but it will help consolidate your Google ranking and continue driving outside traffic to LeoFinance.

If we write a new post, same high ranking keyword and link back to original high SEO post does that increase our page views?

Page views are basically just someone who has viewed a certain page. The number goes up each time a person views the page, which also means that the same person can view the page multiple times. The page view counter will increase each time regardless.

Page views from Google is someone who has found a certain LeoFinance post (page) on Google, and they decided to view (read) it.

It's impossible to say for sure that page views would increase by doing that, because it depends on the overall ranking for the specific keyword, but linking to relevant posts is always a good idea.

If you make a post with additional information (or in other way relevant) to an older post, a link to the old content is likely to help both the new & old content over time. It goes both ways. An old post that already ranks needs to be up to date. If you know that there's some good new information out there, just link to the new content from the old as well.

You won't see any immediate results though. SEO takes time, but it's defintiely worth it in the long haul.
