No matter how smart you think you are, there are just some things that you'll definitely not understand as much as someone else. Most people are always in their heads, they block every avenue for something new to come in. What happens is that at the end of the day, they end up becoming fixed, and there's hardly dynamics to what they do, because they only input their own ideas.

There's a popular saying that two heads are better than one. But let me make that more accurate, by saying two good heads are better than one. Sometimes, another person's opinion on a matter, may be all you need to round up your project. Don't be too rigid and tough. Learn to listen to other people.

No man is an island, in truth, if you decide to do it all on your own, there's a heavy limit to how far you can go. You should be open minded. Allow for serendipity. Most of the greatest inventions and innovations are gotten from simple ideas exchanged in simple conversations. That's why it's helpful to have smart people around you. They can save you a lot of time. Sometimes open up your mind, and listen.

The fact is that all of us humans have opinion bias, whether we like it or not. It may be conscious or unconscious. We tend to make decisions, and live our lives from the experiences we've gather. And there is hardly a possibility that any two people will have had the same experiences all through their lives, and absorb intelligence from it the same way.

What happens to us is that because of our intelligence and knowledge gathered over time, some times we see things in our own way. We interpret information, in our own very way. And this may cause some bias in our way of thinking, because our brain may simply omit some truths about a topic; because it doesn't correlate with anything we understand as an individual.

Hence, someone else can give you an advise and help you see something that your brain cannot by itself even think to that angle, because you completely lack the understand in that aspect. Or it could be an absolute omission. Somehow you could not see it. So here's the thing, you have nothing to lose by listening to advise. Note, you don't have to take every advise you listen to, but at least - listen to it. You can never tell.

Thanks for reading!
