Centralized decentralization; Acidyo’s show of despicability.

Lol, this article might never make it to your readership as I expect it to be riddled with downvotes from some ‘powerful’ account. But yeah, “Hive is censorship resistant” lol.

When hive was created after the fall out with steemit, I devoted some personal and material resources to contribute to the platform’s growth. I initiated the HiveAfrica project with the goal of building an interactive African community on the new platform. I as well hoped to continue my micro blogging on the platform.

HiveAfrica wasn’t making much progress and I got too busy to continue working on the project without any personnel support. Hence, I abandoned the project and have no plans to get back to it.

Well, this story is of least importance here. I continued posting my articles on Hive and at some points, got downvotes from @ocdb . I approached @acidyo who I learnt heads the project. After a long interaction, insinuated that I engage more with other writers. This I devoted more time to.

But these downvotes continued. I approached him once again on discord and our conversation ended in me getting muted. Here’s a screenshot of the whole conversation.

Well that didn’t stop him as my recent articles got downvoted earlier today even when my engagement is clear enough. Muted on discord, I used the only available avenue to reach out to him again – his blog. You guessed right, that got me a few more and heavier downvotes…lol.

Here’s how our conversation went…

Of course, if you can’t clear your acts, Mute the complainant

For a platform that claims to fight wrong use of power, this attitude is a clear show of despicability. I’ll listen to your justifications (if you ever get to read this article at all, lol) and hope that you're able to justify this act. If not, the community have a work to do.

Because you spammed the same comment on 3 different posts.

That was enough to get the attention of an internet bully. I'll do it again if I should.

Here’s a screenshot of the whole conversation.

Not true, we've talked at least on 2 different occasions, but I guess since I blocked you you hadn't taken screenshots of those times to post them here thinking for some reason it's going to help your case. I can gladly unblock you and post all of the discussion but I doubt anyone cares.

I've given you enough chances to bridge out and receive more genuine curation and engagement, one random comment here and there once a week and complaints about downvotes doesn't count towards it. If others disagree with my downvotes they can easily counter them, I didn't overdownvote or bring your posts to 0, they still do way better than what your content do on other platforms you share them on, and yes, I've checked cause I was curious to see if you're attempting to link back to your Hive account on those platforms but you didn't hence your content is close to valueless here.

I decide which account to link back, I also have several other accounts on other platforms and only two are linked to my posts, the choice is mine. Where did the whole 'freedom' thing go?

Yes, no one cares... I don't care too. I just ask that you stop forcing engagement on people. These other platforms don't do so, yet I get multiple times more engagement there. That should tell you something if you're attentive.

I don't bother about getting curated by anyone, I only ask that the ones I get be preserved and not destroyed by your downvotes.

600 posts/700 comments is till better than a greater percentage of users here. I doubt if you did your background research. We can go about this conversation forever and you'll still not be able to justify your actions.

And please, do well to share the screenshots of our other conversations, I'm sure I acknowledged them already.

You're free to do as you like, as am I and anyone else here, same thing goes for "preserving" your autovotes.

Engagement isn't the only thing I look for, you're unfortunately not bringing any value to Hive in my opinion for the rewards you get. Downvotes help spread those out to more deserving authors, whether their quality is great or not, they are of more value to Hive because they care enough to socialize and be active here. You say I'm bullying and treating smaller users differently which is such a joke considering how much time I spend helping newcomers and explaining them things, including you. Hell, my whole curation project is focused on literally that, maybe you're the one who should do some background checks before you talk out of your ass.

You're clearly talking out of your ass by saying I bring no value to hive. I do, just like most other users.
