Don't Be Afraid Of The Water
I'm calling this past week....Taskmaster Week!
Started on Monday night with @taskmaster4450 coming to our Crypto Mondays show and then ended with a 3 hour long Zoom call I had with him on Wednesday.
We discussed everything from the INDEX project, to @LeoFinance, to big picture Hive vision and so much more.
One of the more interesting topics that we discussed was....SteemHunt!
Remember them?
Back on Steem, this project promised to be the blockchain version of Product Hunt. They had a sweet website, a cool concept and these HUNT tokens that you could earn on top of Steem. But what was very unique about their project was that if you delegated Steem Power to their project, they would reward you in HUNT tokens.
Now this is common place in 2020. It happens in places like @leo.voter and @ctpsb but back then, this was a first.
So Taskmaster and I (among many other members of the blockchain) delegated power to the project and got some HUNT tokens.
And then...The split happened!
I personally, forgot about HUNT and it wasn't until a few posts by Taskmster and @themarkymark that reminded me that we had these tokens and you could swap them out for Ethereum....On this little DEX called UniSwap.
I did and got myself a full ETH!!!!

But wait, there's more!
Because I used UniSwap to swap the HUNT tokens for ETH, about 2 months ago UniSwap did an airdrop to anyone who used their exchange in the past year in the form of UNI tokens....Which when they dropped, went up to 7 bucks each or so. LOL
We got air dropped 400 of them. So I sold half and bought HIVE with it. What can I say, I'm loyal :)

But what does this tell you....
Dip your toe in the water! The sharks won't bite!
Try your hand every now and again on a hunch! Don't be afraid to get off the sidelines and into the crypto game!
You never know what will turn into a winner, and sure lots of projects end up failing...But you just never know.
I never once spent a dime I couldn't afford to lose, I simply...Took a chance.
Fast forward to today, and there's another air drop happening but this time for XRP holders.
Look, before today I had a grand total of 0 XRP because well, I don't like big banks LOL And I'm ignorant to the entire project...But learning that this new token 'Spark' is dropping for XRP holders this weekend...I decided to dip my toe in the water.
Again, nothing I couldn't afford to lose, and who knows what will happen with both the price of XRP and SPARK.
But I took a chance....
This is crypto. Opportunities pop up almost daily in this space and you may be missing out, if you don't wanna get your feet wet.
For me, it's simple...Try things.
Do things.
Don't sit back and say 'what if' 6 months down the road....You never know what you may discover!

Wow i also had few hunt tokens but i never got them in any wallet, they were on website account. I will trying checking it out if i can recover something. Thanks.
Yeah there was a trick to it, to get them from the wallet to UniSwap. That's the only way I got them out too.

Awesome man...Yeah test it out. See what happens after a certain amount of comments and engagement...Might be pleasantly surprised at the results :)

ahh i missed the steem hunt train but to tell you the truth i don't regret it! It was quite awesome that you managed to gain such an amount though!!!

I could not agree more with Jon. I would not be where I am today with dipping my toes. I have had luck and failure but much more of the first. I am dabbling with my own token now: BBH on Hive-engine. If you read some of my blog posts you will see. Not pushing it here, just an example. I am dipping my toe into myself.
Only play with what you can afford. Be it crypto or any gamble in life.

Yup, if you delegate Hive Power to @ctpsb it pays in CTP tokens. But as for delegating CTP, pick a project that you would like to support and the recipient would be very grateful. We dont have anything CTP for CTP rewards yet.

Crypto... it is about buying and investing. It is about trading and making a profit. It is about earning through creating and curating content. It is about playing games, having fun, and making a passive income at the same time.
What's happening in crypto, that's mind-blowing. How about building your own business doing what you like to do in blockchain? The possibilities are endless. The thing is, it is still in the early stage.
