20k Hive Power.....

I have finally hit 20k hive power in October 2020 a month after i hit my 3rd year mark on the blockchain. I must say it's been quite the accomplishment to have come this far. I think a lot of the OG's in the Nigerian community I met back in the days have all powered down and left in search of greener pastures but then sometimes our definitions of greener pasture is quite different. For some people it's a place where they effortlessly reap millions, for some it's an already made venture where they can come in and make money while for some others it might be a venture you can grow, build with a longer-term mindset. But then some people feel they don't need to participate in a building process, they just outrightly want to belong and be comfortable with being meagre when of course they can have more.
One of the reasons why I decided to build was because I wasn't comfortable with having less there's smart money to be made but then you can't if you're dumb with your decision. In the crypto era we're heading into its been proven that when you don't actively participate then you don't get money. There are hard choices in real time business but then in crypto and blockchain there are even harder choices and just one wrong or right choice can completely change your journey. Now there are no greener pastures anywhere all we have nowadays is shitty things becoming the next big thing and things you probably overlook gaining traction and proving you wrong.

Crypto is the wild wild west and it's important to recognise things we want to build with. We can't be caught napping on the opportunities the future will bring and here's obviously why I've decided to build with hive. My plan for a long time has always been to hit 20k and to able to do it feels really satisfying for me. I love curating and I like being in charge of curating responsibilities. I like showing people sometimes how deserved their content is. I didn't like being in the recieving end at everytime during my earliest days on steem and that's one of the reasons why I mostly build even when some people tells me that I risk a lot trying to build with an imperfect system such as the one we have on hive.
But then, no system is perfect, I'll keep saying hive is flawed in a lot of way but this doesn't change the fact that it's the best blockchain when it comes to quality and utility, it defines the essence of "free" and parade the true elements of decentralisation even if marketcap and prices might suggest otherwise. So here you have it. 20k and it's quite my biggest milestone for this year entirely. I would actually need to appreciate everyone who has helped me get thus far. I don't want to spam anyone of you all but then your contribution has been relative to my growth thus far and I'll completely remember it everytime.

So far I've continued to 50/50 automatic curation and manual curation as well. It's difficult to keep up with the 100 plus unique content creator on my curation list and basically it can be tedious to curate. But then it's been a great year thus far. I have been adding new people to my curation list and majorly I support people a lot who has good content and of course who are building with hive or Leo and the other tribes as well. So here's it. I plan to maybe hit 35 or 40k hive power before the end of next year and well of possible 50k orca. Thank you all, it's been more than amazing and today I'm glad I've unlocked one milestone again for this year.

Wow congrats man on this. You have been doing great supporting different authors especially me and I am grateful for that. I have chosen to follow your footsteps to build and help others. I should be making 6k by the end of this month. I still wonder how many I can make by the end of the year but my goal is to attain 10k HP before the end of next year 😊.
10k by the end of next year is obtainable, for me, 30k is obtainable by the end of next year, it depends on how we build and thanks a lot man, you put in so much work and deserve it.
Yeah it depends on how we build. Presently my building it focus on both Leo and Hive. I'm think if I double my efforts, I could probably hit 8k or closer to 10k before the year runs out while trying to make up over 1k Leo power by the end of the year 🙂.

You can go to hive.vote it's quite explanatory, use the tool to set up automatic curation for the authors you want to reward even if you're not available to manually curate

Congratulations. It is really an acomplishment. For some growth can be really slow. We can't even imagine what it would be like to get to 5000, less so 20. But, as you say it is hard work and persistence.
