So I received a lovely little buzz from @hivebuzz that it was my 3rd birthday on the blockchain and my goodness, how time flies when you're investing, curating and of course rightly shilling. I remembered joining in September 2017 the 11th and I wasn't really active till the end of September. This is because it was a big place to navigate not actually bigger than what we have now on hive but then you couldn't have logged on to the steemit page in the process of registering without seeing the hundreds of dollars ($$$) and thousands of it as well being displayed on the trending pages. I was new to crypto, never heard of bitcoin, steem or even a place to pays to display one's content.

Where was the money coming from? Was it a bigger scheme? The internet was crawling with places that offered money especially for referral stuff and then when you've gotten close to the gazillion referrals they wanted, boom! They say you're unable to withdraw because your country is ineligible. It was this constant process and majorly, no one trusted anything on the internet again. However it was @rufans my friend who told me about steem and it was thoroughly an exhilarating experience. Painstaking it was a learning process as well. Everyone had their place, you needed to have a strategy to survive. There was this hit and run tactics there were billions of project seeking for funds and whale approval.

During the bull run most people became project owners and it's hard to see money and never see greed with it. It was like a smoking gun, everything was all cloak and dagger. Whale fight and ass kissing, plagiarism. Many communities stood really firm during the bull market but feel apart during the bear market. It wasn't so difficult to see that steem majorly thrived during the bull market and people saw this as the only selling point and truthfully this is one aspect where hive thrives better. Hive has got of course many projects generating value, many dapps, games and tokens that generally gives people a reason to build. Price is a mirage and while steem thrived majorly because of the bull market, hive is thriving and will still thrive better because of the value and use case of the numerous projects built on it.

Before the hostile takeover, steem was beginning to get that structure and things were beginning to shape nicely before Justin Sun's reckless move. Many people felt it was Justin Sun's marketing skills that steem needed, this might have been true but of course we all knew the man wasn't a builder, he wasn't a visionary, he was just a scam with a lot of money and honestly the scandal with him gave hive some of the publicity it had today. So while we're here; a community I believe hive is built on totally different goals. Although we're still transcending to something entirely different, time of course is of the essence just like @taskmaster4450le will always say. hive isn't perfect but better then everything steem achieved and this is of course sometimes I'm sure of. What the hell? In 3 years I have a lot of people to thank for everything so far.

From steem to hive, they transcended their support for me, they were more than family, true friendship, true family, true community and when everything was taken from me, they rallied round me and the support was breathtaking. Let me say, community is the strongest aspect of hive and it's why we survived the takeover and while I might not be thankful enough, I hope you all accept my gratitude because I'm generally thankful, @snook, @spectrumecons @indigoocean @smasssh @trumpman @k-banti @mistakili @nanzo-scoop @honeybee @dante31 @nathanmars @sanjeevm @joetunex @lizanomadsoul @rollinshive @d-pend @adetorrent @ericvancewalton @raj808 @pouchon @robertandrew @redpalestino and many others. I can't totally remember all, there's been so many people who's been instrumental to my journey and most of my decisions, I'll keep updating and spamming you all as I keep remembering. It's of course my 3rd birthday and hopefully we'll be riding a nice white lambo while writing about my fourth birthday

Nice work brother. You are more like a Nigerian celebrity on hive and no doubt, you clearly deserve all the milestones you have achieved and all the help you have gotten (and more). Keep on rocking man.... Maybe in few years to come, you'd be among the whales Africans will be proud of in this blockchain.

Happy birthday to your hive account!!! 💖
