Football Betting Tips: How To Win Big (Hivebuzz WC)
So it's the first time I'm actually paying to participate in a prediction game. I won't necessarily call it a "payment" since it's more like a fee to prevent spamming, but since one Hive still holds monetary value and since I haven't used my money in real-time for football betting, I like to think that this is quite significant, now I'll like to tell you a little bit about football betting, but scrap the idea of winning big, because the title was only a clickbait, but then, stay put.
Predicting football games isn't as easy as you'd think. It becomes even harder when there's a financial incentive, a prospect of loss or gain. For people who hardly understand football, luck is an element they mostly rely on and while luck might count sometimes, most times you'd need a decent chunk of footballing knowledge to stand a better chance.
One of the reasons why I hardly bet on a football game is because of the side effect of being a punter. In Nigeria, football betting is a flourishing business and that's because you have many people who want to part with their money in other to reward their passion.
Basically, money is a huge aspect of punting, emotions run high and money is either made or lost, but at the end, we'd always see people on the internet who predict the same score of a football match and make some crazy life-changing money, there are no lies to this. It's real, but the issue is that it's rare and the pressure to be the recipient of these crazy wins is why people keep punting even when they keep losing money.
A betting business will never run at loss and this is because, for every $10,000 they release in wins, they can easily double it. One of the reasons why this is so is because predicting football games can be very difficult, because of the element of luck, human errors, and the uncertainty of events even with surety coming into play.
For example, some people predicted Saudi Arabia to beat Argentina some days ago on the hive.buzz world cup contest, now this prediction wasn't logical because, in actual sense, the Gulf in class in these two teams is miles ahead, but then, the former won. Now people who won this prediction didn't do so because it was logical, it was because of sheer luck which plays a huge role when it comes to punting.
However, someone who has a 100$ bill to vote wouldn't play Saudi Arabia to beat Argentina, unless they wouldn't feel the impact of the loss of the $100. This translates to the fact that if you're a punter in real life, using real money to predict football games, the only way you might actually win "big" is to already have money and be unencumbered by emotions especially when you're betting and you feel the pressure to not lose. I know a popular influencer who bet 500k to win 12 million.
The team he bet to win was the unlikely team, but he staked it anyways. After all, he wouldn't economically feel the impact of the loss if he had lost, because he was already rich.
However, most people who are average and hoping football betting would change their lives do not vote with their stakes on luck. They go for certainty, permutation, and logic and this is why when they win, they do not win big enough to change their financial situation.
How Do You Predict Correctly?
However with the #hive.buzz's contests, people are mostly having fun with nothing to lose since no one would cry over one hive. This makes people go for unlikely choices, counting on their luck to win. However, to do well in the contest you need basic footballing knowledge to some extent. The ability to do technical analysis, research on the teams that are playing, and probably one's sixth sense. I think it's important to also go for the surprise factor sometimes.
Why is this? Because it's not every time that normalcy will exactly triumph. Since you're not particularly staking any money, it's important to have fun with it, do your analysis properly, and take time before clicking that "upvote" button. But one thing you must understand is that it's not everyone who started well that will finish well, it's a prediction game and even the best can lose.

I didn't see Saudi Arabia beat Argentina at all. I played it over 1.5 actually because since the start of premier league I have been seeing shockers here and there. Today's game between Germany and Japan got me mad. It got me to my bone marrow. Like what the hell happened there? How can Japan win Germany? My bet slip cut I no go lie and e pain me😥😥😥
Looool ahhhhh so you're a punter? I wouldn't have thought so hahaha. The Argentina game got me mad, Germany stupidly lost when everyone was expecting them to win. But this is football, the human factor is there, so sadly, these things eventually happens.
Shhhh don't tell anybody.. It is our little secret😂😂😂.
A friend told me something yesterday and it struck me. He said that football these days have changed. Players are growing and using their past glory to judge them this time around is very dangerous. He also added that the only way to move forward, is to remove emotions aside and see the reality.

I used to bet on soccer some years back, I lost a huge one night $176 today's value since that night I stopped betting because that was a big money back then that could pay my rent for 2 months.
To date I still remember the team that made me lost, It was Espanyol beating Barcelona to win $11 164 back then.

Hehehe yeah we are enjoying the @hivebuzz contest because there is nothing to lose. It's easy to go with an inferior team to beat a superior team. But when money is involved.... many wouldn't go with the predictions they are currently making, me inclusive.
Exactly, I wouldn't really call this gambling because like you've pointed out, there's really nothing to lose just play games and have fun.
I have never made a single bet in my life over sports because I know that most likely would lose my money, then get addicted to play again so that I can get my money back. That's how it works, and prediction is not an easy thing to do.
Although I see my friends making money from it. I try not to be pressured. it is never my thing and would remain that way even though they may make millions one day from it.
I try not to pay attention to the millions sha, normally it's addictive like you said because you'll always try to recover back the money you lost and end up losing, it's like a cycle. But I must say that there are some people who are really lucky with this betting thing. I like the one Hivebuzz is hosting, no pressure at all, just to enjoy the process and have fun
Watching Football all cuz of Hivebuzz football World Cup fever and so far teams I supported like ARG, Germany made everyone shocked meanwhile I'm thinking what's wrong with me supporting team losing matches 🤣.

Sports betting is so addictive. I remember when a friend of mine told me how their firstborn, who was working in the bank, started sports betting. He went from using his money to using customers' money in the bank. He was arrested and would have been jailed if his father had not paid the fee of $2,255( 1 million naira). Anyways since it is just 1 hive, I think it is good, not too costly and probably won't get you addicted.
Betting is addictive, that thoughts of being a millionaire with just small money haha sometimes it lives with people and become problematic to them.

Honestly, the way these World Cup matches are breaking..shattering tables is damn somehow but thrilling!😁 Like, people like me would predict what could normally happen until the start to hear the sound of goals and the results was in the other way round.
I think it is very okay to see that the game is stepping up from what we thought. Although, lots of surprise is still going to be on as per these are the first sets of games.

Well football is generally about upsets, that's the first thing and 40% of my prediction have been wrong really. The truth is that it's important to get the real ingredients to be a good predictor.
As for you registering, you can actually do so by probably putting Hivebuzz posts on your favourite, if you open your peakd, you can easily vote then leave again since you're busy.
Very well, those upsets are already making it more interesting - no easy prediction for anybody now. Ahah

I think it's because the outcome of results is so unpredictable that people love sports. If you win only 1 out of 100 times, and you get lucky to get it right during the WC, then you definitely have some luck. Through some statistics though, I do think it's easier to predict some of the odds and improve your chances but I don't do much of an analysis for my bets. I just go with what I feel is right and I have 6 wins so far.
