#HowItStarted, How It's Going, The Revolution To Web 3:0 and Hive

I would rightly say I've never been censored on any centralised social media but this doesn't mean I've always felt safe, completely secured or even enjoyed any of the benefits that web3:0 is currently providing. I was teenager when most social media came into play and I used to remember registering on Facebook to seamlessly interact with people beyond my geographical location, I opened up Twitter to get exposed to business opportunities, I opened up LinkedIn to connect with skill seekers so I could deliver my skills and basically Instagram was because I wanted to learn photography and also monetize my skills at the end of the day. If you look at my intents towards opening up these centralised medias you'd find out that it was to basically meet people that could enhance my business skills

How It Started

This was how it started, but then every reason with which I opened up these accounts couldn't actualise even after 8 up 9 years of owning and opening them. This was because these places were honed to make money for themselves. I'll admit these medias gave me an insight of what the internet; it's evolution would seem like, I admit the times I've used it I've been subjected to limitations, i even ran ads one time to promote my blogs in blogspots but then it wasn't really efficient, the audience on these medias were so diverse and I was never able to get a community, or probably a group of people or persons that their aim was creative writing, Monetization of public speaking of course to earn rewards.

How my Web 2:0 Journey Ended

I started understanding that the internet could be monetized when I started using Google, although this was because the mechanics of Google was somehow vast and while most of the informations there are mostly scammy I began to understand that money can be made. Web2:0 had a lot of these prospects, from fiverr to microworkers to a lot of other stuff, it still didn't feel like being a part of something. Web3;0 offered the opportunity to have you decided what you put out, what you control and how you're part of a movement. It showcased that almost anything is possible without digitisation, true decentralization and the power to create wealth. I had a taste of web3:0 with steem and I could barely believe such endless possibilities could exist, it seemed totally untrue that one could add intangible value and of course it would translate to wealth

How my Web 3:0 Journey Started

I was accustomed to posting my work for free, I was used to giving off my information for cheap publicity and little did I know that these tiny bits of ideas, experience can be rearranged, packaged and owned. This is probably the story with a lot of people who are still lost in the ocean of ignorance people who hasn't experience the evolution of the web and the possibilities to create intangible wealth, store value without centralised bankings, individually get rewarded for little experience like gaming, taking pictures, tweeting and many other things. Steem was how it started with me but as it's currently going on with hive I've learnt how blockchain technology is capable of changing the future, wth projects like Leofinance I've seen how it's possible to achieve interactibility with other blockchains, and the latest I've learnt because of hive is how tokenizetion is taking over almost everything and even gaming too.

As a result of hive, I've come to understand that you can build without having a single monetary capital. In the real world you can't translate your intangible skills to raise money to start up a tangible business and web 2:0 hones off money from your skills but sadly it doesn't enrich you with any of these huge money. So because of this basic anatomy it was difficult to belong to anything web2:0 offered and be part of it and this is majorly one of the reason why hive the door, the doorway, the answer to the endless possibilities the internet has to offer. The power to create diverse communities, build projects that offers even better opportunities than the centralised versions. This is seen with #3speak being a better version to #YouTube, #Rabona being a better version to gaming than #real_football because it tokenizes gaming and further gives a user incentives for their gaming time.

Conclusion

In conclusion, you do not need to be censored to feel censored. If you're still stuck with centralised social medias and offering your time and attention, you're indirectly censored because you can't control your data, you can't achieve any benefit for yourself and you're limited to the huge opportunities you could have been exposed to and to me, this is mental censorship. Web3:0 is here and you have a vast or millions of myriads of opportunities to benefit from. Currently crypto and blockchain is becoming better, deFi is the latest addition but my best project built on hive is Leo and while this might not resonate with you, hive is a universe of opportunities on its own and being a part of it is only the beginning to enjoy the diverse evolution we would likely see in the near future from now.

I found more than a purpose, I was a content creator without a platform before steem, it gave me the opportunity to become fully established. It's been an emotional journey for me and honestly it been amazing. Thanks to people like you.

The truth is I have never felt home before on the web 2.0 than ever I have on hive. All the time I had been on Facebook Instagram and any other social media, it never clicked. Moreover I have come to be a better person here on hive. I was never good one bit in writing and reading in fact I hated it but presently I have come to know how to share my deepest thought and feelings in a well coordinated manner. How interesting that I can grow and earn at the same time.

Exactly, the opportunities in web 3:0 were limited by all means and I'm happy to have a platform in hive, it's been the best thing so far
