The Power Of A Content: What Are The Necessities?

avatar

When you look at the media, from centralised medias to decentralized medias, you'll notice a vibe, a trend or something similar and this is the fact that everyone is interacting, posting, sharing memes, getting addicted to the conversation, bringing in more audience by selling relatable appeals and one way or the other, a vital knowledge is being circulated.

Commerce is huge and just posting a funny meme can either teach a lesson, entertain or even pass across a vital information. Sometimes what sells a content is the power of relatability, it's relevance and how it leaves an impression, how it changes the perspective of people and how it actually teaches them. Sometimes I find myself watching a few videos on YouTube and I often notice that I am always hooked to some particular channels.

Originally I'm a foodie, I would rather travel the world, spend a lot of money just to eat so much foreign food. So contents on travels and food feels relatable and even when it does, one of my main aim is to always be entertained. The world is evolving, insatiability is becoming the order; you can no longer sell a content without an appeal this is because creators are getting plentier.

This is also because a lot of people are ditching their white collar jobs to access the various opportunities online, people are choosing virtuality to the unproductivity of sitting behind a desk and being dependent on doing paper works and finding no psychological or monetary fufilment by any means.

The world can become boring and a lot of people take to the internet to fill these voids, as a result of this people has begun to understand that they wouldn't just be able to fill these voids, they'll be entertained, they'll be educated and as well they will interact and foster their feedback based on the contents they've seen.

Interaction or feedback is what happens a content tends to resonate well but then sometimes people leave their feedback by continuing their interest on a particular content and making it a necessity to come back for more. One of the reasons why centralised medias have been able to boom is that they give people the idea of interaction and entertainment, but it'll get to a stage where people would want more.

In the past, people blogged to just share their thoughts, nowadays people blog to meet some specific target, demand, audience, viewership, exposure and of course a prospect for money. Medias like YouTube has these tendencies and hence a need for monetization under a centralised tutelage. Of course this post isn't about centralisation.

While people feels decentralised medias are too difficult to cope with, it's exactly going to be an evolution into ownership and content creating. However contenting itself is evolving, taking different shapes and while a lot still feels it's all about the SEO's and the numbers I believe a quality content is one that largely resonates, attracts, relates, teaches and sells immediately without any sort of advertising.

Many of us have become better content creators as a result of exposure to other contents, we can say we have been better as a result of the consumption of content on the internet that we have seen or read overtime. It still suprises me when people say they can't create contents. The world itself is an audience so also a source.

The reasons why people buys into a certain content more than another is not because it's not what they have not seen before but because it's the creativity behind how it was able to capture an attention or pique an interest. Hence; creativity.

The internet has further brought exposure. Sometimes people form their ideas, their knowledge and their opinion from what they see and read and then give off their opinion in a different format for others to learn and also form their own ideas. Every conversation is an opportunity to be better and this is how we often form the notion of what will eventually sell as a content or not.

The last paragraph hit me well, and made me to recall the school time when we talk about Notions or Perspectives (human ideas) — that is, we often read to be better, and we formulate our ideas based on what we've read and make it better which will definitely catch the attention of the people (if the idea makes a whole lot of sense)
